Chuwi CoreBook Xe is the first notebook of the Chinese company equipped with Intel Iris Xe Max graphics, Chuwi CoreBook Xe will be the first laptop of the Chinese brand with dedicated graphics Intel Iris Xe Max (DG1). Also on board are Intel Comet Lake processors, 15.6 “Full HD display, an SSD drive. As an Intel global strategy partner, Chuwi is one of the first companies allowed to embed the Iris Max Xe graphics GPU in the new CoreBook Xe. Nimble Xe architecture and Intel’s Deep Link Technology enhances and accelerates video encoding and picture editing, while the Intel i5 10210U turns Corebook Xe into a powerhouse performer.
CoreBook Xe will certainly be equipped with a 10th generation Intel Core i5-10210U (Comet Lake-U) processors, a quad-core chip (8 threads) with a maximum frequency of 4.2GHz, which will be joined by the Intel Iris Xe Max GPU ( DG1) launched at CES 2020 in Las Vegas and comparable in performance to an Nvidia GeForce MX450 installed in many medium-high-end notebooks, even approaching the results of an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti Max-Q in DX12.
Specifically, the Intel DG1 is based on Intel Xe-LP 10 nanometer architecture and features 96EU (execution units); 768 core stream processors, 1.65GHz core frequency, and 4GB of memory. It also supports Intel Deeplink technology, which greatly improves video encoding performance. And just to give you a picture of the potential of this GPU; the Intel Tiger Lake processors with Intel Xe have almost double the graphics power of the previous generation and; in a demo at CES – Intel DG1 managed without problems to play an AAA game like Destiny 2.

The hardware platform will then be completed by 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 256GB of memory on SSD; with the possibility of expansion up to 1TB. Chuwi CoreBook Xe will also have a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display in 16: 9 with ultra-thin side bezels. Present a webcam and a keyboard with a numeric keypad.
The chassis has a classic design and we do not exclude that it is built-in aluminum but; from the first images circulated, you can see a red LED strip running around the sides. There is also a good set of interfaces that includes two USB 3.0 Type-A, one USB 2.0 Type-A; one HDMI, one 3.5 mm audio jack, one RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet, and the SD card, reader. The operating system is Windows 10.
