During the last CES 2018, the Chinese manufacturer showed its lineup for the new year. And now there’s a big news: CHUWI Hi8 Air is coming and now Sale on Gearbest at $149.99, a sort of upgrade of the standard version, which also introduces some changes compared to the Pro version. Let’s take a look at this new tablet equipped with Windows 10 and Android.

    Design

The tablet features a unibody metal design with a silver finish at the back. At first glance, it looks like any other tablet as it still has front bezels which are quite broad. The back of the device also bears the Chuwi and Intel branding. In addition to this, the tab boasts of an OGS fully laminated LCD with connectivity including one micro USB, one micro HDMI (1080P output), a 3.5 mm headphone jack and Bluetooth 4.0. The tablet has a compact 8 “LCD screen and a 16:10 aspect ratio. But the resolution of the screen is fortunately fine enough, as is the 1920 x 1200 pixel display Natural finger-touch screen with the 1920 x 1200 resolution boasts impressive color and clarity and IPS technology provides wide viewing angles. The Chuwi Hi8 Air is a complete novelty.

    Hardware

The performance of the tablet covers the Intel X5 Cherry Trail Z8350 processor, which is priced at 1.44 GHz. In Turbo mode it rises to 1.92 GHz. Intel Cherry Trail x5-Z8350 Quad Core 1.44GHz, up to 1.92GHz Equipped with better performance, delivering plenty of power for your use. The operating memory has a capacity of 2 GB and an internal 32 GB storage. 2GB LPDDR3 RAM for Advanced Multitasking Substantial high-bandwidth RAM to smoothly run your game, photos and video-editing applications, as well as multiple programs and browser tabs all at once, However, in a single metal body, there is a memory card slot that can have a maximum capacity of 128 GB.

    Features

Chuwi Hi 8 Air COmes with Dual Cameras for Photos and Face-to-face Chat 2.0MP front camera and 2.0MP rear camera let you capture memorable moments or chat with friends. Microsoft Windows 10 64bit OS, Windows 10 brings back the popular Start Menu from Windows 7 and introduces new features, like the Edge Web browser that lets you mark up Web pages on your screen and Android 5.1 Lollipop OS Allows you to remain connected and productive. Chuwi Hi 8 Air equipped with HDMI Output Expands Your Viewing Options, You can connect the device to an HDTV or high-definition monitor to set up two screens side by side or just enlarge pictures.

    Conclusion

So, how does this tablet compare to the company’s SurBook Pro or even the Hi9 Air? Well, in terms of specifications, it falls behind.
