Chuwi Hi12 Tablet PC VS Xiaomi Air 12 Laptop – 7TH GEN Design, Hardware, Features Review

A new Windows 10 tablet has arrived on the market, is called Chuwi Hi12 and has 4 GB of RAM. It ‘also pick up a new version of Xiaomi Air 12 Laptop – 7TH GEN with the same amount of RAM, Chuwi HI12 is instead a Windows 10 tablet also dual boot, but more will soon support capacitive stylus to write and draw. The nib will be called Chuwi HiPen H1 , and will have support for 256 levels of pressure and Xiaomi Mi Notebook 12.5 Air equipped with a processor Intel Core m3–6Y30 whereas the new model uses a chip Intel Core m3-7Y30 with a higher clock frequency of 1 GHz (2.6 GHz mode Turbo Boost) and Intel HD graphics Graphics 615. As a result, the laptop has become 12% more productive than its predecessor. RAM is still 4 GB, a choice of a configuration with SSD capacity of 128 or 256 gigabytes.

    Design

    Chuwi Hi12

CHUWI HI12 measures 10.31 by 6.59 inches. The entire tablet is only 0.35 inches thick and weights 852 grams, which is considerably lighter than the Surface Pro 4 and only slightly heavier than the current iPad Air. The resolution of the display is 2160 x 1440 pixels, the contrast ratio 530:1, numbers which are great for a 12-inch screen. Images are sharp and there’s plenty of on-screen real estate. The maximum brightness of 318 lux, is good enough for outdoor use on a sunny day. Color quality is better still. In terms of gamut, the Hi12 offers 74 percent of the AdobeRGB scale. That closely rivals the significantly more expensive Samsung TabPro S. The dimensions of the Chuwi Hi12 are 29.67 x 20.28 x 0.89 cm.

    Xiaomi Air 12 Laptop

Xiaomi Mi Notebook 12.5 Air is all the same thin notebook with a 12.5-inch Full HD display. The thickness of the metal housing is 12.9 mm with a weight of 1.07 kg. It’s pretty rare to find a small laptop with a separate graphics card. The Mi Notebook Air screen has an ultra-thin frame with a width of only 5.71 mm, which in combination with the resolution of 1920×1080 makes an incredible effect, helping you to better focus on the image. The special lamination technology reduces the thickness of the air gap between the display and the protective glass 4 times, whereby the probability of glare caused by light refraction is reduced. Enjoy high-quality image both at home and outdoors, even in bright sunlight. The protective glass is made of synthetic sapphire of high hardness — 7H on the Mohs scale, which makes the display scratch resistant. Implementation of these innovations has allowed Xiaomi to create a line of portable laptops that combine high performance and compact size. It fits in almost any bag or backpack, is easy to carry even in one hand, and always attracts attention due to its stylish appearance. The dimensions of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook 12.5 Air are  29.20 x 20.20 x 1.29 cm.

    Hardware

    Chuwi Hi12

The Chuwi Hi12 is powered by an Intel Atom processor, specifically the 1.44GHz quad-core Z8300 chip. The Atom line is designed for low energy usage, not peak performance, so no one should expect it to perform well on benchmarks. For graphics, Hi12 uses the on-board Intel HD graphics. The Chuwi Hi12 sports a Hynix HCG8e solid state drive, with 64GB of storage. That’s not a lot of space for installing apps, storing images and video. For RAM, Hi12 is equipped with 4GB, memory more than enough for executing all kind of operations.

    Xiaomi Air 12 Laptop

Xiaomi Mi Notebook 12.5 Air The new 7th Generation Intel Core m3-7Y30 Processor Dual Core 1.0GHz, up to 2.6GHz Ultra-low-voltage platform and dual-core processing provide maximum high-efficiency power to go. Intel Turbo Boost Technology delivers dynamic extra power when you need it, so you can view the video in 4K resolution without any delay. A 13.3? version of the Mi Notebook Air comes with a powerful processor Intel Core i5, but you can choose a model with a 12.5? display, which is equipped with more quiet Intel Core m3. 4GB DDR3 RAM for Advanced Multitasking Substantial high-bandwidth RAM to smoothly run your games, photos and video-editing applications, as well as multiple programs and browser tabs all at once 128GB SSD Storage Capacity Provides room to store pictures, videos, music and more.

    Features

    Chuwi Hi12

Chuwi Hi12 is fanless, so noise is not a problem or overheating. So far as we can tell the internal heatsink in the Chuwi Hi12, alongside the underpowered processor, do a good job of keeping everything cool. The touchscreen does not work during the boot sequence, so users will have to use the volume keys to choose Android or Windows. If you can’t get that to work, an application on the Windows desktop allows users to restart into Windows, and the shutdown menu in Android offers “Boot to Windows” as an option. There’s not a lot of Android software installed by default, not even Android staples like Gmail or Chrome. Happily, Google Play is included, so installing and setting up your favorite apps isn’t hard. Performance seemed a little smoother on the Android side overall, but still a little slow while browsing heavy pages. The Hi12 offer a USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0 port on the tablet itself. A headphone jack means you can connect your speakers, and a micro HDMI port enables external displays. There’s also a MicroSD slot, which can help supplement the 64GB of internal memory. Power is handled by a MicroUSB port on the side of the tablet itself, inexplicably placed between the two full-sized USB ports. This means that, in order to use the tablet while it’s charging, you’ll need to connect a cable to the side of the display (a display that, you’ll remember, is prone to wobbling.) The 32-inch cable that comes with the Hi12 only reaches so far, meaning plugging in is impossible if there’s no plug on the table or desk you’re working on. Bluetooth and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi are offered by the Realtek RTL8723BS wireless card. The Hi12 documentation points out that Wi-Fi lets you “swim the internet,” which we assume is more immersive than surfing.

    Xiaomi Air 12 Laptop

All the top models of the new generation laptops are using the USB Type-C ports, and the Mi Notebook Air is no exception. You can use it for your gadgets charging, data transmission, as well as for video output. In addition, the 12.5? version of the Mi Notebook has an HDMI output, USB 3.0 port and the 3.5 mm headphone jack. Such a variety of ports and outputs significantly expands your opportunities — for example, you can use the additional 4K display for work or entertainment. Such a small notebook with so long battery life — it’s not magic, it’s science. To do this Xiaomi is using batteries with a high energy density of 600Wh / L, which makes the battery very lightweight and allows you to use the fast charging through the USB Type-C port. It is now possible to charge the laptop by 50% in just half an hour. The battery life of 9.5 hours, fast charging. Mi Notebook Air is convenient to use anytime, anywhere — at home, on a walk or while traveling. We know that you like to listen to music and watch movies directly on your laptop, so took care of the sound quality. In order to make the sound quality and clear, and the bass rich and powerful, in the device is equipped with speakers from the Austrian manufacturer AKG. Dolby Audio ™ Premium technology makes the sound more natural and balanced. This adapter will allow you to connect to your laptop the external hard drives, USB-flash drives, printers, additional monitors, and all the other gadgets that are equipped with USB ports, but still, do not have USB Type-C. With this multifunctional adapter from Xiaomi, you can simultaneously connect the HDMI-cable, the USB-device and the charger to your laptop. The fastest way to unlock your laptop without entering a password is to use your Mi Band 2! Turn on your notebook, when the tracker is on your hand, and it will automatically unlock. In addition to its compactness and high performance the Mi Notebook Air has a lot of innovative solutions, unlock using the bracelet is one of them. The weight of a little more than a kilogram, long battery life, broad functionality — thanks to this the Mi Notebook Air will become your indispensable assistant, which, moreover, can easily fit in your favorite bag or backpack.
