The Chinese company Coolpad has recently officially presented a new low-cost smartphone for the Indian market, namely the new Coolpad Cool 5. It is a device that is rather nice in terms of aesthetics and offered at a very low price.
Starting with design and aesthetics, we can see that the new Coolpad Cool 5 is a very nice smartphone. On the front, in fact, we find a display with a 6.22-inch diagonal in HD + resolution in 19: 9 with really thin frames on all four sides of the device. At the top of the display, there is also a drip notch where the front camera is housed.
From a performance standpoint, the smartphone features the MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. The latter here is coupled with memory cuts equal to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD up to 128GB.
Later, the new device from the Chinese company Coolpad has a resolution of 16MP selfie camera and supports artificial intelligence algorithms. The main camera acquired two modules and is executed in the style of the iPhone X, i.e. a pair of lenses in a vertical orientation is shared by an LED flash.
The main module is based on a 13MP image sensor and it is assisted by a 2MP sensor, responsible for blurring the background. At the center of the back cover, instead, there is a circular biometric sensor for fingerprints.
The operating system installed on-board is Android 9 Pie, while the battery has a capacity of 4000mAh which is supported by a USB Type-C port so it is likely that this smartphone has a fast-charging feature. Coolpad Cool 5 is available for purchase in India in the Gradient Blue and Midnight Blue colors at a price of around INR 7999 (about $112).
