Igeekphone News: Google is preparing to expand the color lineup of its premium wireless earbuds with a new dark green Pixel Buds Pro 2, which is expected to debut alongside the upcoming Pixel 11 smartphone series at the company’s next hardware launch event.
According to a report published by Android Authority on July 29, Google is likely to unveil the new color option during its Made by Google event, scheduled for August 12.

The report notes that Amazon briefly listed a product page for the new dark green Pixel Buds Pro 2, providing an early look at the upcoming finish. The newly spotted shade appears noticeably darker than the green color variants that have previously surfaced for the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro, suggesting Google is aiming for a more refined and premium aesthetic for its flagship earbuds.
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 originally launched in September 2024 as Google’s flagship true wireless earbuds, offering active noise cancellation (ANC), improved audio quality, enhanced battery life, and deep integration with the Pixel ecosystem.

At present, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are available in the following five official color options:
- Charcoal
- Porcelain
- Hazel
- Peony
- Moonstone
The addition of a dark green finish would bring the total number of available colors to six, giving consumers another premium option that could complement the upcoming Pixel 11 lineup.
Although Google has not yet officially confirmed the new color variant, the appearance of the listing on Amazon adds credibility to speculation that the earbuds will be announced alongside the next-generation Pixel smartphones.

Google’s August 12 launch event is expected to showcase the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and additional hardware products, with the new Pixel Buds Pro 2 color serving as one of several ecosystem updates. More details, including pricing and regional availability, are expected to be announced during the event.
