In terms of imaging, the DJI Mini 5 Pro drone is equipped with a brand-new CMOS camera sensor. Previously, it was reported that the drone is equipped with a 50-megapixel CMOS sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 1-inch optical format. Compared with its predecessor (48-megapixel, 1/1.3-inch and f/1.7 sensors), it has better low-light performance.
The camera can record 4K / 60FPS HDR videos. To meet the high demands of professional creators for picture quality and post-processing color grading, the dynamic range has been increased to 14 stops, and it supports 10-bit D-Log M and HLG color modes. The gimbal of the Mini 5 Pro can be rotated to 225° when needed, thus achieving “true vertical shooting”.
In terms of intelligent tracking, the Mini 5 Pro has improved the 360° ActiveTrack technology, which can track objects at a maximum speed of 15 meters per second, enhancing stability and accuracy in motion scenarios and making it perform even better in extreme sports shooting, wildlife tracking and other scenarios.
In terms of the transmission system, the Mini 5 Pro will become the first DJI drone to support the OcuSync 4 Plus video transmission technology. Although the specific differences from the existing OcuSync 4 have not been disclosed yet, it is reported that the maximum video transmission distance of the Mini 5 Pro in the United States can reach 20 kilometers, far exceeding the standards of most consumer-grade drones, providing a more stable signal guarantee for remote aerial photography.
In terms of battery life, thanks to the brand-new Intelligent Flight battery, the single flight time can reach up to 36 minutes. The media believes that, taking everything into account, the Mini 5 Pro has made breakthroughs in imaging, intelligent control, transmission and battery life, and is expected to become a new benchmark in the lightweight aerial photography market.
