Right now Xiaomi has released MIUI 8.2 Global Stable update for some smartphones. Some need to be upgraded by Xiaomi dedicated updater app, but some can be updated by OTA. As MIUI 8.2 is a major upgrade from Xiaomi, it brings several new features and performance improvements to the smartphones. Some of the cool new features includes new toggle for the notification shade, new system sounds, automatic task management, new ringtones, and Smart Desktop Assistance. Does MIUI 8.2 update brings Android Nougat?
Many of the users might be disappointed to hear that the MIUI 8.2 update doesn’t bring Android Nougat yet though the company is on beta testing from past 3 months. There are various other OEMs who already rolled out Nougat to its top-end devices.

How to Install MIUI 8.2 Global Stable ROM
If you’re on MIUI 8 / MIUI 7 global stable ROM, do launch the ‘Updater’ app and download the update manually. Else download the recovery ROM from the above table and flash it through recovery mode. But if you’re device is on beta ROM or any other developer ROM, you need to flash fastboot ROM via Mi Flash tool.
