Fitbit introduces its new fitness tracker: Charge 3 which is smarter and slimmer than its predecessor, looks almost like a smartwatch and can be personalized with many bracelets. In addition, the screen should be brighter and sharper than its predecessors. The battery should last for seven days – with GPS use, this value should decrease.
Up to 7 days of battery life
Fitness trackers measure the steps, distance and calorie consumption during sports and everyday life. The latest model in the Fitbit family can now do much more: Charge 3 automatically detects workouts, analyzes sleep and measures heart rate. The biggest improvement compared to its predecessor: The Charge 3 offers an improved design, a touch screen display, and over 15 different training modes. The display is also 40 percent larger and should be much brighter.
The battery should last up to 7 days. However, the manufacturer is still no precise information on how this value comes about. Floats are liked that it is up to 50 meters water depth tight and also measures the covered tracks.
The housing of the tracker is made of aluminum, the display should be particularly robust by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. With bracelets, you can customize it. There are two sporty variants and a classic leather bracelet in several colors to choose from. Just a leather bracelet was previously reserved only for expensive smartwatches.
Respond to messages from your smartphone
Android users have a Quick Reply feature. This allows you to respond to SMS or WhatsApp notifications directly through a preformulated message. Fitbit introduces the Charge 3, a fitness tracker with a wide range of features. Athletes will only miss a GPS feature to record the running track. To do this, you have to take your cell phone with Charge 3. Some features like interchangeable bracelets are only available on smartwatch models.
Price and Availability
For the upper-class features Fitbit also requires a high price: From October 2, Fitbit Charge 3 will come for $150 in the colors black with graphite frame and in blue-gray with the rose-gold frame on the market. It can already be pre-ordered on the official Fitbit page.
