Igeekphone News, June 18th: The technology media Android Authority published a blog post yesterday (June 17th), sharing a set of photos showing the phone case for Google Pixel 10 Pro from the third-party accessory manufacturer Thinborne.
The media tested that when the Pixel 9 Pro was inserted into the phone case, although it could be barely fitted, there were many design differences. For example, the opening of the camera module of Pixel 10 Pro is significantly larger than that of Pixel 9 Pro, resulting in a large gap between the two. The media pointed out that if the Pixel 10 Pro is forcibly placed in an old protective case, its larger camera module may cause installation difficulties.
Furthermore, the bottom designs of the protective cases are significantly different: The protective case of Pixel 10 Pro has two speaker openings at the bottom, while Pixel 9 Pro has only one.
Meanwhile, the SIM card slot position of the Pixel 10 series has been moved from the bottom to the top, further increasing the difficulty of accessory adaptation. Tests also show that the protective case of Pixel 10 Pro partially blocks the 5G antenna area of Pixel 9 Pro. Although it does not seriously affect the signal, it may cause minor interference to the stability of the network.
Although the Pixel 10 series is highly similar in appearance to its predecessor, the test results of the protective case indicate that Google has made multiple fine-tuning to the hardware design. Although these adjustments did not completely change the product form, they led to a significant decline in the compatibility of accessories.
Google has not yet released the complete specifications of the Pixel 10 series. However, according to leaked information, the new device will continue the straight-screen design of the Pixel 9, but the imaging system may be equipped with an upgraded algorithm.
