Igeekphone News, June 10th: The technology media Android Authority published a blog post yesterday (June 9th), reporting that Google plans to revive the Ambient EQ function in the Pixel 10 series of mobile phones and rename it Adaptive Tone.
Igeekphone Note: Google first introduced the “Ambient EQ” function on the Pixel 4. This technology is similar to Apple’s True Tone and can dynamically adjust the screen white balance according to the ambient light. However, this feature was widely criticized for its effect and disappeared on the Pixel 5, only making a brief return in the Pixel Tablet.
The media learned from Google’s internal channels that Google plans to “revive” this feature in the Pixel 10 series under the new name Adaptive Tone. Its principle is the same as Ambient EQ, which dynamically adjusts the display tone to warmer or cooler according to the ambient light.
This time, the Pixel 10 series will be equipped with the brand-new “ams TMD3743” ambient light and color sensor, covering all non-folding devices. Google hopes to improve the functional performance through this and bring a more natural visual experience.
