Igeekphone 5th May update: Google has started to roll out the 2026 May update for the Pixel 7a to Pixel 10 series smartphones and Pixel Tablet. The unified build version number is CP1A.260505.005.
In terms of functionality, the most notable improvement in this update lies in the resolution of the issue where the wireless charging speed slows down in the 75% to 80% battery level range under certain circumstances. For users who are accustomed to charging with a wireless charging pad, this problem can result in longer charging times, and their battery might not be fully charged when they leave in the morning.
This update also specifically addressed camera-related issues. For the Pixel 10 series phones, it resolved the problem where the camera application might freeze after video recording.

In terms of display, this update is targeted at the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL models. It has fixed the issues of persistent white dots or visual noise appearing at the top of the screen, as well as intermittent problems such as blurry images, freezes, or noise lines.
In terms of input experience, this update also fixed the issue where in some applications, the input keyboard or input interface would freeze or shift position, thereby affecting the efficiency of text input.
It should be noted that this update includes a bootloader upgrade. After the Pixel 10 series is updated, it will not be able to revert to the previous Android 16 version. If users rely on rooting or flashing, they must back up their data and confirm compatibility before the upgrade. Once the upgrade is completed, there will be no going back.
