With the HomTom P30 pro presented a new high-end device whose name is probably to remember the well-known Huawei P30 Pro. At least if you take the other devices of the Shenzhen-based company as a benchmark. As the name suggests, the company tries to ride on the marketing wave of the Huawei P30 Pro, but apart from the color scheme the devices could not be more different.
The back follows the current trend and is available in gray or a blue-purple gradient. At first glance, the device is strongly reminiscent of the UMIDIGI A5 Pro . Only the camera and the display look a bit different. Otherwise the smartphones are also very similar from the inside values. Even the logo is in the same place at the bottom left. The triple camera is slightly out of the case and is mounted on the top left. In the middle there is a fingerprint sensor . On the right are the volume rocker and the power button, on the left the SIM slide and an AI button, probably for the Google Assistant.
The display has a punch hole at the top center and a small chin at the bottom. Otherwise, it occupies the whole front and allegedly comes to a screen-to-body ratio of 93.3%. It measures 6.41 inches, resolves in HD +, so with 1560 x 720 pixels and comes with an aspect ratio of 19.5 to 9.
The performance is the same as that of a low budget device, but still usable. The HomTom P30 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Helio P23 octa-core processor that clocks at 2.0GHz and is supported by 4GB of memory. The fixed memory holds 64GB and can be expanded via MicroSD card in the hybrid slot. On the smartphone, the current Android 9 is preinstalled.
Camera Also in terms of the camera, the P30 Pro follows the current trend and installs three sensors on the back. It is a 13MP main camera from Sony and depth or wide-angle sensor. After all, the front camera resolves with 8MP. Camera software was never Homtoms strength, accordingly, one should not expect too much despite the setup, for one or the other photo should be enough. The battery holds 4000mAh and is supposedly fully charged with 10 watts within 2 hours.
