Today at Global INS Conference, Honor’s president George Zhao said that Honor will launch the first 5G Smartphone in 2019, and also proposed 5G three layers participation theory. With the 5G band coming soon, 5G has become a new enthusiasm, and many mobile phone manufacturers have indicated that they are exploring 5G. George Zhao proposed the 5G three-tier participation theory at the INS conference.
Whether it is from 3G or 4G or 5G, all the next-generation network construction is inseparable from these three layers of participants: the first layer, the standard and core patent initiators, such as Huawei; the 2nd layer, the solution provider to promote network construction. And verifiers, such as carriers and mobile phone solution manufacturers (Apple Samsung Huawei Qualcomm) 3rd layer, mobile phone brands based on 5G solution providers, and 5G application service manufacturers, such as various apps.
At the same time, George Zhao also said that the above three layers, Huawei and Honor are all involved, and at the core position, with the information advantage, technical advantage and competitive advantage of the 5G mobile phone ahead of the industry. In contrast, other mobile phone manufacturers belong to the third-tier extension position, information lag, insufficient technical reserves, and imperfect solutions. These gaps are difficult to compensate in the short term.
