Honor Magic 3, Magic V, V40 Series Have Opened MagicOS 7.0 Public Beta

The Honor Magic VS Magic 3, and Honor V40 series will start the MagicOS 7.0 public beta on December 23rd, and you can sign up through the Honor Club App.

According to reports, the public beta version is a test version released to the public during the development stage. It aims to allow active users to try new software features in advance and provide feedback, assist R&D engineers to find and fix software problems, and improve version quality, usability, and ease of use. The perfect version reaches the standard of an official release.  Please note that since the public beta version is still in the development stage, its running effect may not be as ideal as the official commercial version. For example, some applications (including third-party applications) may be unstable or incompatible, which will affect your experience. Therefore, please consider carefully whether to try it in advance. At the same time, considering user experience and compatibility issues, the public beta activities may be suspended for a period of time.

If your mobile phone has been upgraded to the internal beta version of MagicOS 7.0, you do not need to participate in the public beta activities. The public beta version has been pushed for you. For details, please pay attention to the announcement of the adaptation progress of the corresponding product.

Note: Check the version number: Settings -> System -> About Phone. If the current version number is not on the baseline, please upgrade to this version online before participating in the public beta. (Refer to the upgrade method: Settings -> System and Update -> Software Update)

Precautions

1. Precautions before upgrading (please read carefully):

(1) Before upgrading the public beta version, please back up important data on your mobile phone, and confirm that the backup content is complete and valid, to avoid data incompatibility after the upgrade or other accidents that may cause data loss.

(2) Before upgrading the public beta version, please ensure that the current version of your mobile phone is on the baseline version (see 2. Compatible models for details).

(3) It is recommended that the mobile phone reserve 10GB of internal storage space avoid possible upgrades due to insufficient space. (View storage method: Settings -> Storage).

(4) Please make sure your phone is not ROOT.

Public beta activity plan and registration entrance

2. Instructions for registration of public beta activities

(1) Public beta registration only supports the registration of compatible models on the “Glory Club” APP on the mobile terminal and does not support computer registration. Before registering, please make sure that the Honor Club App is the latest version (you can enter the application market to upgrade the “Glory Club” APP to the latest version or upgrade it through “Glory Club APP -> My -> Check for Updates”).

(2) Please upgrade to the baseline version first (see “2. Adapted models” above), then download and install the public beta description file, and then enter “Settings -> System and Update -> Software Update -> Check for Updates” Upgrade the public beta version (please go to the registration portal to download the public beta description file).

(3) After the public beta description file reaches the validity period (usually after the public beta activity ends), the system will prompt the user and automatically delete the public beta description file.
