Igeekphone reported on July 16th that Li Jian, the CEO of Honor Terminal Co., Ltd., just announced on Weibo that the world’s first robot phone, Honor Robot Phone, is ready and implies that the official pre-order for Honor Robot Phone will commence soon.
The poster released by Li Jian shows that this model offers two color schemes. Previously, the offline stores of Honor had opened the reservation channel for this model on July 15th, and those who made early reservations could enjoy exclusive benefits.
The Honor Robot Phone made its debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2026) held in Barcelona, Spain in March 2026. At the press conference, Honor’s CEO Li Jian stated, “A phone shouldn’t just be a ‘boring black square’ with a touchscreen. We decided to give it a brain and hands.” This product was defined as the first “new species” under Honor’s “Alpha Strategy” since its implementation, integrating embodied intelligent interaction and two core AI capabilities: flagship imaging.
The core innovation of this product lies in the fact that a set of the industry’s smallest four-degree-of-freedom (4DoF) titanium alloy mechanical gimbal system is integrated at the top of the device. During daily use, the mechanical arm is fully stored inside the device, maintaining the complete and integrated appearance of the phone. When activated, it pops out with just one click, and the deployment takes only 0.8 seconds. It supports 360° rotation tracking and 90°, 180° intelligent camera movements. The anti-shake performance reaches the CIPA 5.5 standard, and the compensation rate for walking tremors is 96%. This gimbal system is equipped with micro motors, and its volume is 70% smaller than the mainstream solutions.
In terms of camera configuration, the rear camera setup of the Honor Robot Phone includes a 200-megapixel F1.6 aperture 4D pan-tilt main camera with an equivalent 23mm focal length, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 200-megapixel telephoto lens. This device is the first product to be released after Honor reached a strategic partnership with the Hollywood film industry giant ARRI (Ardel). It introduces Ardel’s Log-C encoding and LUT color grading files to the mobile platform for the first time. According to the official introduction, professional film and television’s C-Log and LUTs are all available, and the commonly used focus locking, white balance locking, AE locking, and shooting data can be downgraded to the mobile phone. In addition, the camera supports AI object tracking, AI video editing, and intelligent shooting, which can perceive and compensate in real time to ensure stable images.
In terms of hardware configuration, the Honor Robot Phone is equipped with the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Supreme Edition chip and features a 6.3 to 6.4-inch 1.5K resolution quadrilateral straight screen. The device is equipped with an on-device large model YOYO, which has the ability to perceive emotions and can actively identify the user’s emotional state, usage habits, and current environment.
Huawei previously reported that the Honor Robot Phone with model “APH-AN00” has obtained 3C certification. It is equipped with a switching power adapter that supports the maximum 120W fast charging, and is produced by Shenzhen Honor Intelligent Machine Co., Ltd.
Previous reports indicated that the Honor Robot Phone is expected to be officially launched in August 2026. The CEO of Honor, Li Jian, also confirmed that the phone will be available in the third quarter of 2026. Additionally, it is reported that the Honor Robot Phone and the Magic9 series will be released separately. The former is scheduled for August, while the latter is tentatively set to debut in October.
