How to Choose the Best Games for iOS

Brady CottonBy Brady CottonApril 6, 2022

All the games you have on your iPhone are old, and you want something new. But how do you choose among those? Want a new Match-3 title when Candy Crush got too hard? Or are you searching for a good horror before Poppy Playtime for iOS arrives? Here is how to find the perfect games for your iPhone or iPad. You can check to buy lol accounts here.

    Genre

For many, it’s the defining parameter of the game. Do you prefer arcades, action games, puzzles, quests, word games, RPGs, strategies, life simulators, racing games, or other genres? Most of us are open to various genres, though some of us stick to one. This may be quite important if you already know what you’d like to play. But you may as well want to try a new genre. Anyway, it matters.

    Compatibility

It’s not enough to check if the game is compatible with your iOS version. It’s more important whether it’s designed for iPad or for iPhone. The same game may feel completely different on these two devices or even unplayable on one of them. And it’s not just about big games like Fortnite. Casual games may suffer from incompatibility, too, even within the Apple ecosystem.

    Casual or Hardcore?

What do mobile games mean for you? Are they just time killers for a spare minute you occasionally have? Or are you ready to spend hours or entire evenings at a game that gets you hooked?

    • Casual games usually consist of short levels or standalone missions, like word games or jigsaw puzzles (but you can play, say, Call of Duty Mobile in a similar manner).
    • Hardcore gaming is the most rewarding with long adventures, like Genshin Impact or Fantasian. Yet you can spend countless hours at online poker or Candy Crush Saga too.

Have you decided how much time you are ready to spend? Now, let’s do the same with money.

    Monetization

Hardly are there any decent games that are completely free. Usually, there are ways the games can generate revenue for their publishers:

    •     Paid games. It’s the simplest: you pay to simply access it, and that’s it. Usually, paid games are single-player.
    •     Free-to-play games. The basic game assets are available for free, but to get advanced items, accelerate your advance, or access higher tier missions, you need to buy in-game currency or subscribe. This model is mostly used by multiplayer online games, and at its worst, it becomes pay-to-win.
    •     Ad-supported games. You don’t have to pay, but the game displays ads between the rounds or during the gameplay. Sometimes, you cannot turn these ads off, even for money.
    •     We’d also like to remind you about Apple Arcade, a subscription-based service that delivers hundreds of ad-free games with all the content unlocked. This appears to be the best bang for the buck. But it may lack certain titles you’d like to play.

    Choose Your Way

Are you ready to pay once, make recurring payments, or  watch videos between levels? Give your games a lot of time, or just scarce minutes? Test your response, intellect, skills, or just relax to recover after a hard day? It’s up to you. You just need to know what you want and be ready to discover something new.
