The sound quality of FreeBuds 3 was also evaluated by the media at IFA 2019. Engadget said the sound quality of this headset is on par with Apple’s Airpods model. Meanwhile, The Verge editor praised FreeBuds 3 for its well-controlled bass and clear soundstage.
According to Huawei, FreeBuds 3 is equipped with a new audio chip named A1. The company says the new chip is similar to the H1 chip on Airpods and is the first product in the world to support Bluetooth 5.1 and is designed to provide lower latency and battery consumption than other Bluetooth chips.
However, this feature only works exclusively on Huawei phones. In fact, when experiencing this feature, users still have to open the Bluetooth menu (!?) So I do not understand what Huawei shows this new chip for.
In terms of listening time, FreeBuds 3 is equipped with a large capacity battery that allows users to listen to music continuously for 4 hours, accompanied by a charging box capable of extending the listening time up to 20 hours.
