Yesterday, Huawei phone product line CEO, He Gang updates on Weibo officially to inform Huawei fans that its last 7 models can upgrade to EMUI 8.0 OS based on Android 8.0 OS next week.
Previously on June 30, Huawei Mate 8, P9, P9 Plus, Honor 8, Honor V8, Honor Note 8, Honor Play 6X, these 7 phones can apply for upgrading manually first by membership service APP in limited quantity.
He also explained that the reason why Huawei upgrades EMUI each time is to upgrade Android version. The main reason is that Android version upgrade has not only offered basic function, but more important ones, like safety improvement, these changes are more valuable, because the users are the ones who use the bottom resource in the long term.
He showed the Android higher version upgrade is more difficult than just upgrading UI, but Huawei insists on being responsible for consumers.
According to material, in May, Huawei Android 8.x devices occupied to 20%, which is 2.5 times over other brands with 5.7% in average.
