In full discord on its future, Huawei has announced a phone that we expected a priori for later. It is the one known until now as Maimang 8, or more familiarly, Huawei Mate 30 Lite. It was at a presentation event in China, which Huawei has shown the terminal after having leaked a few days ago. Now we know in detail all its technical specifications and price.
As we say, in China it has been presented as Maimang 8, but it will be marketed internationally as Huawei Mate 30 Lite. The terminal sports premium mid-range technical specifications. It has a 6.21-inch screen with “notch” in drop shape and FullHD + resolution. This IPS LCD panel offers a screen ratio close to 90% with an aspect ratio of 19: 5: 9.
His brain is formed by a Kirin 710 chip, which is accompanied by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. You have the option to extend this memory through microSD cards. The Mate 30 Lite has a configuration of a triple rear camera, in the vertical position, with a main sensor of 24MP, a wide angle of 16MP and a third depth sensor of 2MP.
The front camera remains at 8MP and is located within the aforementioned notch. The main functions of the camera include scene optimization by AI, slow-motion recording up to 480 fps and a Night Mode.
The Huawei Mate 30 Lite has a 3400mAh battery, although its fast charge is limited to 10W. On the back, we find a fingerprint reader, and it is compatible with the main connections such as 4G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and has a 3.5 jack for headphones. Something that calls the attention is that we do not find USB Type-C and yes a classic entry for micro USB.
The Huawei Mate 30 Lite or Maimang 8 can be booked in China at a price close to $275, in Magic Night Black and Blue Sapphire colors. The sales will start next June 12. At the moment we do not know anything about the international marketing plans or presentation of this new phone.
