According to foreign media reports, for the Mate 80 series to be launched later this year, Huawei plans to adopt the flagship CMOS sensor SC595XS independently developed by SmartSens.
It is reported that the sensor has excellent specifications and is expected to help Huawei further enhance its competitiveness in the high-end imaging field.

Given Huawei’s update strategy for its flagship models, the Mate 80 series will include Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro+, and Mate 80 RS Porsche Design Edition models, with a starting price exceeding 5,000 yuan.
Foreign media believe that Huawei is still vigorously supporting domestic suppliers in this move, thereby strengthening its independent supply system.
According to Yu Chengdong’s previous statement, the Mate 70 series has already achieved 100% domestic production.
Previously, Peng Bo, a director of Huawei and president of the Global Procurement Certification Management Department, publicly stated that the entire R&D team and colleagues in the supply chain spent five years basically achieving supply independence.
