Previously, Huawei MateStation B515 was officially launched for government and enterprises. And now it is released for general consumers in Beijing. The Huawei MateStation B515 is the first in the commercial PC field after the MateBook B series notebook in August this year. Let’s explore Huawei’s latest PC in detail below.
The design of the MateStation B515 includes an all grills design on the front. In terms of expansion, the CPU is 293mm tall, 93mm wide, and 315.5mm thick. The CPU weighs about 4.2Kg, so it can be flexibly placed.
Looking at the connectivity, it has built-in dual-antenna Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. On the front chassis, there is a USB Type-C fast charging interface, 3.5mm headphone jack, 1 x USB-C (USB 2.0), and 1 x USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen 2) interface.
Moving to the backside, the CPU has a Microphone Input, an audio output, an audio input, an HDMI port, a VGA interface, a USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen 1) port, two USB-A (USB 2.0) port, and two Ethernet port.
In terms of core configuration, Huawei has designed the B515 with either a Ryzen 5 4600G or a Ryzen 7 4700G. The machine will also be offered with 8GB or 16GB of RAM, a 256GB or 512GB SSD, and a 1TB SATA HDD. The MateStation B515 comes pre-loaded with Windows 10 Pro.
Meanwhile, the monitor is a 23.8-inch IPS Panel. The display runs natively at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels in a 16:9 aspect ratio with a 1,000:1 contrast ratio. Huawei claims that the monitor has a 90% screen-to-body ratio, but there is a sizeable bottom bezel. Its screen is certified by TUV Rheinland international for maximum eye protection.
Its wireless keyboard has a built-in fingerprint scanner, which makes it more convenient to power on and also ensures safety. The keyboard adopts an ultra-thin design, metal texture, a 2.5 mm keystroke, and scissor switches. The keyboard also appears to have built-in NFC for communicating with Huawei smartphones and tablets, too.
To keep it cool and stable, the MateStation B515 comes with Intelligent temperature control, which adjusts the wind speed according to the temperature change of the device, and asymmetrical heat dissipation fins greatly improve the heat dissipation efficiency.
Finally, the MateStation B515 also supports Huawei cloud space. You don’t need to take out your phone, just log in to your HUAWEI account, you can manage your personal files on your computers such as mobile phones and tablets, and keep synchronized updates on multiple devices.
