MWC 2017 has ended successfully, different smartphone manufacturers have released their own flagship smartphone, Huawei P10 and LG G6 comes with dual rear camera, which are quite eye-catching. So which one is stronger in camera photographing. So let’s see two main camera comparison test.
Huawei P10 back camera uses Leica dual rear ones, 12MP color camera+20MP black white camera, F/2.2 aperture, supporting double zooming and OIS, it has 8MP front Leica camera, F/1.9 aperture, supporting human mode, which can show focus blurring effect.
However, LG G6 dual back camera is also from the design of LG G5, it has 13MP main camera, F/1.8 aperture, 71 degree viewing angle, supporting OIS, the second back camera has 125 degrees wide viewing angle, F/2.4 aperture, no OIS, it has 5MP front camera with 100 degrees wide viewing angle.
They both have different design concept, Huawei P10 tried to use black and white camera with higher pixels to strengthen the photos details, but LG G6 tried to use camera to fill the viewing angle.
Under Strong light: No big gap, LG G6 is winner.
Let’s see their performance under strong light. We find several scene at random to take photos.
Huawei P10 with 12MP color camera viewing angle has a little wide viewing angle than LG G6 main camera. The sample has bright color, rich details, and the noise is controllable. Th 20MP black+white camera will show more details,better noise control, the black and white filter also improves unique quality.
The main camera of LG G6 is better in sharpness and details, more real color, more accurate white balance than Huawei P10, and better noise control, in viewing quality, it has higher analysis than Huawei P10. Although wide angle camera has wider viewing angle, but it can’t provide higher level quality like black and white filter.
In daylight outdoor, LG G6 main camera has better color and sharpness than Huawei P10. In some scene, Huawei P10 can’t measure the light accurately, but LG G6 has more reliable light measurement and white balance. In second camera, Huawei P10 has stronger black and white quality, for most scene, they have nice performance, but LG G6 wide angle lens can be good for structuring images in some specific scene.
Huawei P10 and LG G6 main camera under this scene take sharp and bright photos, same as the sample in the daylight. From details, Huawei P10 sharpness and color has less accuracy than LG G6. But if you don’t see clearly, you will not see the details. In second camera, in small indoor room, P10 wide angle lens shows its advantage, which can reflect the indoor details. The black white photos show better details, as for many stuffs in the shop, it will loss more due to lack of color.
In general, under strong light, LG G6 main camera will be better than P10 in sharpness and color accuracy, in second back camera, LG G6 wide angle camera and Huawei P10 black and white camera have their own advantages and disadvantages.
In low light comparison, LG G6 has better brightness, Huawei P10 black and white filter has higher level.
Let’s see their performance under low light.
First, in El Corte Ingles shopping center, they both have nice performance, adding OIS lens, they don’t take photos unclearly. But due to LG G6 back camera with F/1.8 aperture, in details, the exposure and accuracy of LG G6 are better than Huawei P10.
Taking street photos, LG G6 has higher exposure, looking more natural, but Huawei P10 offers higher color saturation.
After comparison between Huawei P10 and LG G6, we can conclude that the final winner is neither Huawei P10 or LG G6, but every user. They have their own advantage. So which one do you prefer.
