The Huawei has confirmed that the P40 line will be launched on March 26, ie next week. Thanks to the numerous leaks, we were able to know details about the design of Huawei P40 and P40 Pro models. However, most images showed only the rear and the camera set, but luckily that has just changed.
The famous leakster Evan Blass published a rendering that reveals the entire front design of the P40 and P40 Pro, making it clear that both should deliver a display with great use. Right away, we can see that the main difference with respect to the previous generation is in the fact that this year’s models adopt a “hole” in the upper left corner of the screen. Which is responsible for housing the front camera, something that in the P30 and P30 Pro it was a drop-shaped notch.
In addition, it is also very visible that this “hole” is considerably large. Especially in the Pro version, given that rumors suggest that Huawei inserted three lenses. The last being ToF 3D to assist in the facial recognition system.
Another difference that can be easily noticed is that the P40 Pro has curved sides. It is something that was probably inherited from the Mate 30 Pro. This feature is not present in P30, certainly to make it cheaper and make the Pro version more attractive.
The image shared by Evan also reveals a fingerprint reader under the screen. This is hardly surprising, given that previous models were launched with this feature. However, we can clearly see that there is no indication on the P40. But that does not mean that it will really put this technology aside. We will have to wait for new information to confirm (or not) this removal.
Huawei P40 Pro Premium Edition
In addition to the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro, rumors suggest that the company should make the P40 Pro Premium Edition official, which will be the most powerful model with a curved 6.7 “OLED display. This model will carry the Kirin 990 5G processor, 12GB of RAM, 512GB of internal storage. Apart, it will have a 5000mAh battery with 50W fast charging. As previously stated, the launch event will take place on the 26th. So there is little to know about all the official details.
