iGEEKPHONE reported on April 16th: The Huawei WATCH Buds 2 has officially been announced and will make its debut at the Pura series and all-scenario new product launch event on April 20th.
Judging from the appearance shown in the poster, the Huawei WATCH Buds 2 still maintains the basic design scheme of the previous model, but it is overall more refined.
It is expected that the new model will be equipped with HarmonyOS, and the user experience in both headphones and smartwatches will be significantly enhanced. The headphones are also expected to support stronger noise reduction capabilities.
The first generation of Huawei WATCH Buds was released in December 2022. It is the first dual-device (watch and earphone) product in the industry. Although it is an intelligent watch, it contains an in-built TWS wireless earphone inside.
The biggest challenge with this type of product is its size. However, the Huawei WATCH Buds achieves this by adopting a highly integrated design, allowing the built-in headphones to fit within the size of a typical watch, with a thickness of only 14.99mm.
Equipped with a 1.43-inch circular screen, the edges adopt a 3D curved design, and the dial part features an innovative push cover design. With a gentle push, the dial immediately pops up like a pocket watch, making it convenient to remove the headphones.
Although it is a two-in-one product, the functionality of Huawei WATCH Buds has not been compromised. Functionally, it still supports accurate sleep monitoring, blood oxygen detection, heart rate monitoring, and heart health research, among others.
The entire headset is equipped with custom mini components. Compared to traditional pole-type TWS headphones, its volume has been reduced by 50%, and the internal space utilization rate has reached 90%. The net weight of each headset is approximately 4 grams.
The left and right headphones can also be used interchangeably. The earphones can automatically identify the left and right positions and switch the left and right channel data. When using them, you can completely forget about the left and right distinction, and use them wherever you go. The magnetic charging function also doesn’t require adjusting the angle, and charging can be achieved in all 360 degrees.
