Korean tobacco company KT&G announced on August 13 that it will launch a new brand of heat-not-burn cartridges, “RAIM” (레임). The new products include four types: “RAIM ICE MINT” (레임아이스미드), “RAIM ICE” (레임아이스), “RAIM REGULAR” (레임레귤러) and “RAIM VELVET” (레임벨벳 등이다), and are scheduled to be officially launched on October 27th. The newly launched cartridge, as a dedicated accessory for the “LIL AIBLE” heating non-combustible device, has the main feature of effectively reducing the smell of smoke.
KT&G’s last brand update before this new product launch was a year ago.
In July 2024, KT&G cancelled the dedicated cartridge brand “AIM” for “LIL AIBLE”, and subsequently launched three different types of products: Classic (REAL), GRANULA and VAPOR STICK, and redesigned the product names and packaging.
Since then, the company has continuously expanded its product line. Currently, the “LIL AIBLE” dedicated cartridges already include 15 different products. The addition of “RAIM” this time has brought the total number of its products to 19
KT&G stated that, centered on the “LIL AIBLE” series, it will continuously promote the development of the heating non-combustible market. According to July data, since the release of “LIL AIBLE 2.0”, the average monthly sales volume of this series of cartridges has increased by 41% within one year. With the strong sales of this series, KT&G’s domestic market share of heated non-combustible products soared to 45.8% in the first half of the year.
