Lenovo Moto Razr Fold Review: The AI-Powered Foldable Phone!

Habib QaziBy Habib QaziJune 16, 2026
Facebook Twitter Pinterest LinkedIn Tumblr Email

Most foldable phones unfold into large smartphone-sized displays, offering multitasking and split-screen features. However, everyday business tasks such as transferring files, taking meeting notes, and maintaining seamless compatibility across devices can still be frustrating.

Business users need more than a bigger screen, they need a smooth and efficient workflow. Imagine revising a contract while traveling. In many cases, the file must first be uploaded to cloud storage and then downloaded again at the office. During international conference calls, keeping track of discussions, taking notes, and identifying speakers can be equally challenging.

A true business-focused foldable flagship should offer more than premium hardware. It needs intelligent features that improve productivity, simplify collaboration, and support users in every work scenario.

The Lenovo Moto Razr Fold is designed to address these challenges.

Powered by Tianxi AI, the device brings advanced productivity tools to its large foldable display. Through the built-in Tianxi Claw assistant, users can assign tasks on the go and access completed results directly from their PC later, eliminating the need for USB drives or cloud transfers. During meetings, AI Notes can automatically transcribe conversations, identify speakers, and generate actionable to-do lists, reducing the need for manual note-taking.

As a foldable device, the Moto Razr Fold is remarkably slim, measuring just 4.43mm when unfolded and 9.89mm when folded. Weighing only 243g, it remains comfortable to carry and use. The phone adopts a seventh-generation Star Track architecture, delivering an almost crease-free display experience. Its 3D-printed titanium alloy hinge structure and third-generation Corning Gorilla Glass protection enhance durability.

The inner display features an 8.1-inch quad-curved panel with LTPO adaptive refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz. With 2,000 nits of global brightness and a peak brightness of 6,200 nits, visibility remains excellent even in bright outdoor environments.

Photography is another major highlight. Ranked first in DXOMARK’s foldable imaging category, the device combines a Sony LYT-828 main camera, a LYT-600 periscope telephoto lens, and a Samsung ultra-wide sensor, each offering 50MP resolution. Features such as AI Triple Exposure, AI Super Night Mode, and 3.5° gimbal-level AI stabilization help capture clear, stable images in a wide range of shooting conditions.

Paired with the Lenovo Moto Pen Ultra AI stylus, users can take notes, record meeting minutes, access real-time translation, and capture ideas more efficiently, further enhancing productivity.

So how does the Lenovo Moto Razr Fold  perform in everyday use? Let’s take a closer look.

First, let’s review the key specifications of the Lenovo Moto Razr Fold.

    Design

The Lenovo Moto Razr Fold strikes an impressive balance between slim design and durability, making it one of the most refined foldable smartphones available today. When unfolded, the device measures just 4.43mm thick on one side, while the folded profile comes in at 9.89mm. Weighing 243g, it feels surprisingly comfortable in hand and remains easy to carry without the bulk typically associated with large foldable phones.

This slim form factor is made possible by Lenovo’s seventh-generation Star Track architecture. The design incorporates 3D-printed titanium alloy plates and an aerospace-grade aluminum frame, reducing overall thickness while maintaining structural strength and long-term folding reliability. The result is a nearly gapless fold when closed. The display is equally impressive. From the front, the crease is barely noticeable, and swiping across the center feels smooth and uninterrupted. Crease control is among the best currently available in the foldable smartphone market.

Its 8.1-inch quad-curved display features a 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, delivering smooth scrolling and responsive performance whether you’re reviewing documents, managing reports, or attending video meetings. Outdoor visibility is another highlight. With 2,000 nits of global brightness and a peak brightness of 6,200 nits, the screen remains easy to read even under direct sunlight. Whether checking notifications at a train station or capturing photos outdoors, content stays clear and vibrant.

The Pearl White version leaves a strong first impression with its clean and elegant appearance. The matte white rear panel features a subtle brushed texture that feels premium while resisting fingerprints and smudges.

A large metallic Motorola “M” logo sits prominently on the back, complemented by the frosted finish and rounded frame. The understated razr branding at the bottom adds a touch of identity without distracting from the overall design.

The rear camera module follows Motorola’s signature matrix layout, with four elements arranged in a 2×2 configuration. These include an ultra-wide macro lens, a main camera, a periscope telephoto lens, and a portrait flash combined with a 3-in-1 multispectral sensor. All three rear cameras feature 50MP sensors.

On the left side, a customizable shortcut key provides quick access to AI features and other frequently used functions through single or double presses. The right side houses the volume controls and power button. The power key also supports customizable shortcuts and can launch the Tianxi Smart Body assistant with a long press.

Audio performance benefits from a symmetrical dual-speaker system tuned in collaboration with BOSE. The setup supports conference-grade hands-free calling from distances of up to 1.5 meters, making it useful for meetings and group conversations. At the bottom, you’ll find a USB Type-C port, SIM card slot, speaker, and microphone, completing a clean and functional design.

    Cameras

The Lenovo Moto Razr Fold brings flagship-level photography to the foldable phone category with a versatile triple 50MP camera setup. It features the Sony LYT-828 main sensor, a Samsung ultra-wide macro lens, and a Sony LYT-600 3x periscope telephoto camera, delivering impressive imaging performance across a wide range of shooting scenarios.

AI-powered features further enhance the experience, including AI Triple Exposure, AI Color Enhancement, AI Super Night Mode, and AI Super Zoom. Combined with 3.5° gimbal-level AI stabilization and dual-focal-length 8K video recording, the device has earned a DXOMARK Gold Label rating, making it one of the strongest camera systems available on a foldable smartphone.

    Main Camera Performance

The Sony LYT-828 sensor captures excellent detail and dynamic range. When photographing glass-covered buildings, AI Triple Exposure balances bright skies and shadowed structures, preserving details in both highlights and darker areas.

For distant cityscapes, AI Super Resolution improves text clarity and architectural details, even in hazy conditions. Landscape shots benefit from AI Color Enhancement, producing natural colors and improved depth without appearing oversaturated.

    Telephoto Camera Samples

The 3x periscope telephoto lens delivers sharp results from standard optical zoom to higher magnification levels. Whether capturing skyscrapers, distant landmarks, or detailed text, AI Super Zoom helps maintain clarity and detail throughout the zoom range.

    Ultra-Wide Camera Samples

The 12mm ultra-wide lens is ideal for large scenes and architectural photography. In environments such as bridges, city roads, and waterfronts, it keeps lines straight while preserving strong detail across the frame.

Textures like concrete surfaces, water reflections, and distant buildings remain clear, allowing users to capture more of the scene without sacrificing image quality.

    Night Photography

Night shots are one of the phone’s strongest areas. AI Super Night Mode controls highlights effectively while preserving details in darker areas. Store signs, illuminated buildings, and city landmarks appear sharp, with accurate colors and minimal noise.

Even without a tripod, photos remain clear and well-balanced, making nighttime photography simple and reliable.

    Macro Photography

Using the ultra-wide camera’s macro capabilities, the Lenovo Moto Razr Fold captures fine details such as flower petals, pollen, textures, and small objects with impressive clarity. Natural background blur helps subjects stand out, making it useful for product photography and close-up detail shots.

Professional Video Features and AI Tools

Beyond photography, the Moto Razr Fold offers powerful video capabilities. It supports 8K 30fps Dolby Vision recording for maximum detail and flexibility in editing, along with 4K 120fps slow-motion video for cinematic footage.

The dual-view Vlog mode records simultaneously with the front and rear cameras, making content creation more convenient. AI-powered Photo Relay helps users achieve better shooting angles and reduces missed shots when someone else is taking the picture.

Additional creative tools, including Zhang Linghe’s exclusive Lingjing Time filter and custom watermark effects, provide more options for users who enjoy creating polished social media content and professional-looking videos.

    Full Ecosystem Collaboration

Tianxi AI sits at the heart of the Lenovo Moto Razr Fold, creating a smarter and more connected user experience. Powered by an L3-level intelligent agent system, it introduces the built-in Tianxi Claw digital assistant, enabling seamless collaboration between smartphones, tablets, and PCs. Combined with the Lenovo Moto Pen Ultra AI stylus, AI note-taking, AI translation, and intelligent workflow tools, the device can proactively handle tasks and improve productivity.

    Cross-Device Collaboration Without Boundaries

The Lenovo Moto Razr Fold extends collaboration beyond basic file sharing. Tianxi AI synchronizes workflows, task progress, and knowledge across devices, creating a unified experience. Tianxi Claw is available out of the box with no complicated setup required.

In testing, we created a custom “Parameter Comparison” workflow on a PC. The command automatically synced to the phone. After saying, “Compare the parameters of products A, B, and C,” Tianxi Claw collected the information, organized the data, and generated a comparison spreadsheet highlighting key differences—all without additional configuration.

The experience becomes even more convenient with background task execution. Users can start a report on their PC before leaving work and continue their day. By the time they access their phone later, the completed report is already synchronized and ready to review.

Tianxi AI also keeps its knowledge base updated across devices in real time. Research notes, comparison tables, and unfinished projects remain accessible wherever you are, eliminating the need for manual uploads or backups.

    Fast File Sharing Across Platforms

One of the most practical benefits of Tianxi Claw’s ecosystem integration is effortless file sharing between devices.

Through HyperConnect, smartphones and laptops can transfer documents, images, videos, presentations, spreadsheets, and compressed files quickly and reliably. Files can be shared with a simple drag-and-drop action or one-click transfer, even when handling large project files.

This streamlined process removes the need for USB drives, cloud uploads, or messaging apps, making cross-device file management significantly more efficient.

Lenovo Moto Pen Ultra AI Stylus

Designed for productivity, the Lenovo Moto Pen Ultra AI stylus weighs just 6g and delivers a comfortable writing experience on the large foldable display. Its 1.4mm soft tip mimics the feel of writing on paper, while 4,096 pressure levels ensure precise and natural input.

A customizable shortcut button provides quick access to note-taking, AI selection tools, annotations, screenshots, and editing features. Users can instantly capture ideas, mark up business documents, or take notes with greater flexibility than traditional keyboard-and-mouse input.

The stylus also includes a location-tracking feature to help prevent loss.

    AI Magic Pen

The AI Magic Pen adds intelligent content recognition to everyday use. Users can simply circle unfamiliar text or information on the screen to instantly receive explanations and contextual insights.

It also supports AI SketchUp functionality, transforming rough sketches into refined visual renderings. This helps accelerate brainstorming, concept development, and creative communication without requiring complex design tools.

    AI-Powered Note-Taking

AI note-taking enhances meeting productivity by transcribing conversations in real time and automatically identifying different speakers.

During meetings, users can highlight important moments while the system generates structured summaries and actionable task lists. This significantly reduces the time spent organizing notes afterward.

All generated content is automatically saved to the AI knowledge base and synchronized across phones, tablets, and PCs. When users need information from a previous meeting, they can simply ask Tianxi Claw to retrieve it instead of manually searching through files or chat histories.

    AI Translation

For international communication, Tianxi AI provides low-latency, real-time translation with high accuracy.

The built-in translation system supports ten languages and offers both side-by-side and face-to-face display modes, making conversations easier for all participants.

When encountering foreign-language text, users can simply circle it with the stylus for instant translation. There is no need to switch applications or manually enter text, allowing communication to remain smooth and uninterrupted.

    Performance Testing

The Lenovo Moto Razr Fold is powered by Qualcomm’s fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 processor, paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The hardware is optimized for multitasking, AI-powered applications, and productivity-focused workloads. A large VC cooling system helps maintain stable temperatures during extended use, ensuring smooth performance for office tasks, split-screen workflows, and video conferencing.

As a foldable flagship designed for productivity, the device prioritizes stability and power efficiency while still delivering strong gaming performance. To evaluate its real-world capabilities, we tested two popular titles: Honor of Kings and Genshin Impact.

    Honor of Kings

Currently, Honor of Kings does not fully utilize the foldable display. Even with full-screen mode enabled, the game avoids the area around the front camera. A future OTA update may improve screen adaptation.

For testing, the game was set to its highest frame rate, ultra-high resolution, maximum graphics settings, and High-Performance Mode during a standard 5v5 match.

The Razr Fold maintained a near-constant 120fps throughout gameplay, with only minor fluctuations. Frame rates rarely dipped below 115fps, resulting in smooth combat, roaming, and jungle farming.

Power efficiency was equally impressive, with an average power draw of 2.59W and per-frame power consumption of 21.6mW.

    Genshin Impact

For Genshin Impact, graphics were set to the highest preset with the frame rate capped at 60fps. The test consisted of a 10-minute run through Sumeru City in High-Performance Mode.

Performance remained highly stable throughout the session, averaging 59.8fps with just 0.7fps of fluctuation. Gameplay felt smooth and responsive, with no noticeable stuttering or frame drops.

The device recorded an average power consumption of 3.56W, while per-frame power consumption measured 59.5mW, demonstrating an effective balance between performance and efficiency even in a demanding open-world title.

    Battery Life and Charging

    Battery Life

To evaluate battery performance, we used BatteryDog by Fast Technology under a mixed-usage workload designed to reflect everyday use. The test included CPU-intensive tasks, AI processing, image browsing, video playback, and web browsing. Screen brightness was fixed at 50%, auto-brightness was disabled, and volume was set to 30% to ensure consistent results.

In our real-world testing, the Lenovo Moto Razr Fold’s inner display dropped from 100% to 20% after 10 hours and 6 minutes of use. Based on this result, the device is estimated to deliver around 12 hours and 38 minutes of total battery life on a full charge, making it more than capable of lasting through a full day of demanding use.

The outer display performed even better, taking 11 hours and 24 minutes to fall from 100% to 20%, highlighting the efficiency of the secondary screen for everyday tasks.

    Charging

Charging tests were conducted using the original 90W charger with the phone powered off and fast-charging mode enabled. Starting from just 1% battery, the Lenovo Moto Razr Fold reached 25% in 10 minutes and 66% in 30 minutes. A full charge took approximately 60 minutes, delivering fast and reliable charging performance for daily use.

    Conclusion

The Lenovo Moto Razr Fold stands out as a thoughtfully designed foldable smartphone that combines premium hardware with a highly capable software ecosystem. Its refined build quality, powerful AI features, and seamless cross-device connectivity make it more than just another foldable device.

During everyday use, Lenovo’s AI-powered tools and productivity ecosystem proved genuinely useful. Features such as remote PC file access, stable large-file transfers, and smooth device collaboration help streamline work and improve efficiency.

The Lenovo Moto Pen Ultra AI stylus adds another layer of productivity. From quick note-taking and AI-assisted translation to sketching and image generation, it turns everyday tasks into a faster and more intuitive experience.

For professionals who spend a lot of time in meetings, AI note-taking is particularly valuable. Real-time transcription, speaker recognition, and automatic task creation help keep everything organized. The built-in AI interpretation feature also supports communication across multiple languages when needed.

Photography is another strong point. Its top-ranking foldable camera performance is backed by the Sony LYT-828 main sensor and AI-enhanced imaging technology. Night shots are detailed, highlights remain controlled, and the versatile 50MP triple-camera system delivers reliable results across a wide range of shooting scenarios.

Performance is equally impressive. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite platform and a large 6000mAh battery, the device easily handles demanding workloads while delivering excellent battery life. Combined with its slim profile and IP48 water resistance, it offers a well-rounded experience with few compromises.

Overall, the Lenovo Moto Razr Fold is not a foldable phone designed simply to showcase technology. It is a productivity-focused device built for professionals who need powerful tools on the go. For frequent travelers, business users, and anyone looking to work more efficiently, it delivers meaningful advantages that extend far beyond the foldable form factor.

As AI becomes more integrated into daily workflows, the Lenovo Moto Razr Fold feels less like a smartphone and more like a smart productivity companion that is always ready to assist.
