IGeekphone reported on May 5th that LG Display issued a local announcement today, stating that it will showcase a series of innovative OLED display technologies at the 2026 SID Display Week held in Los Angeles, USA.
This company showcased its third-generation Tandem OLED for the first time at this year’s SID. This technology platform has reduced power consumption by 18% and doubled durability. Its first product is a vehicle display panel, with a brightness of up to 1200 nits and a lifespan of over 15,000 hours at room temperature. LG Display plans to first mass-produce the vehicle-specific new product this year, and then expand to IT and other application areas.

At the same time, it will also showcase the humanoid robot P-OLED display solution, the 57″ vehicle-mounted P2P (Igeekphone Note: Column-to-Column) panel, and the 32″ sliding OLED panel.
In terms of display technology, LG Display has introduced a 5K high-resolution RGB stripe sub-pixel OLED panel. It has a pixel density of 220 PPI, resulting in a more refined display effect compared to the previously announced 160 PPI 27″ UHD 240Hz panel.
For laptop screens, LG Display offers a 16″ Tandem OLED panel specifically optimized for AI PCs. This model is thinner, lighter and more energy-efficient than traditional OLEDs, and it can extend battery life by 2.3 hours.
