LG Reveals the Prices of Q7 and Q7 Plus: All the Details of the New “Mid-Range”


On Wednesday LG revealed the official prices of the LG Q7 and Q7 + smartphones, two mid-range devices released last month by the South Korean manufacturer. Available in the Aurora Black and Lavender Violet color variants, the LG Q7 is priced at 495,000 Korean Won (approximately $456), while the Q7 + is priced at 570,000 Won, which roughly converts to $526.

Phones will now be available in South Korea through three major mobile operators. However, these interesting “mid-range” devices should also arrive in other markets: among these, there should be Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, probably already in the coming months. LG Q7 could arrive in Europe already by June. The price for the LG Q7 a model (also known as LG G7 Alpha) has not been revealed.

LG Q7 and Q7 + have both Android 8.0 Oreo as the operating system. Both phones have a 5.5-inch FullVision Full HD + (1080 × 2160 pixels) display with an 18: 9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 442ppi. The phones are equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, combined with an Adreno 506 GPU. The two variants differ in terms of RAM and storage space. LG Q7 has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space, while the LG Q7 + is equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. Storage is expandable on both microSD cards (up to 2TB).

As for the photo compartment, the LG Q7 features a unique 13MP rear camera sensor, while the LG Q7 + comes with a 16MP rear sensor, both with a PDAF lens. On the front side, variants should come with a single 5MP camera with 100-degree Super Wide Angle lens. In addition, the Smartphone sports a 3000mAh battery that supports Qualcomm’s Fast Charge technology which delivers 50 percent of charge in about 30 minutes.

Connectivity options on the LG Q7 and Q7 + include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.1ac, GPS / A-GPS, Bluetooth v5.0 LE, NFC, FM radio and USB Type-C 2.0. Finally, both phones measure 143.8 × 69.3 × 8.4mm and weigh 145 grams. We await further details from LG, such as confirmation of the chipset used and of the front cameras that will be proposed on our market.
