MediaTek’s New 5G SOC Announced: Integrated 5G/7nm A77 CPU, November 26th


MediaTek announced that it will hold the MediaTek 5G program release and global partner conference in Shenzhen on November 26.

Not surprisingly, this conference will launch MediaTek’s integrated 5G baseband SOC, called MT6855.

According to reports, MediaTek MT6885 is based on TSMC’s 7nm FinFET process. It uses the ARM Cortex A77 architecture and integrates the Mali-G77 GPU. This is the world’s first 7nm ARM Cortex A77 CPU with powerful performance.

Not only that, MediaTek MT6885 integrates 5G modem Helio M70, its downlink speed reaches 4.7Gbps, uplink speed reaches 2.5Gbps, backward compatible with 4G, 3G, 2G networks.

In addition, MediaTek 5G uses a new AI architecture, equipped with a new independent AI processing unit APU, to support more advanced AI applications. Including image processing technology that eliminates image blur, even if the subject moves quickly, the user can still make a wonderful photo.
