MIUI 10 Global Beta 8.8.9 Update Released For Xiaomi Phones With Major Improvements

In a great news for Xiaomi smartphone users today, the Chinese company has rolled out a new update for its MIUI 10 skin, with major improvements and bug fixes. One of the administrators at the MIUI forum has posted the news and also the download links for the new MIUI 10 Global Beta 8.8.9 update. The admin has also said that the new update comes highly recommended by the Mi community of testers.

The Xiaomi Mi 6X model added AI preloading function. The Xiaomi Mi 8 model also fixed the automatic brightness. When unlocking the bright screen in some scenes, it will lighten first and then darken. In addition, in terms of interaction, the problem that the notification bar background is not displayed correctly after applying the third-party theme is fixed.

According to the official introduction, Xiaomi Mi 6X and Xiaomi Mi 8 have released the public beta version 8.8.9 system; meanwhile, Xiaomi MIX 2S has suspended the development version of Android O from August 6th and has entered the Android P internal testing stage. The development version of the beta is suspended during the internal test; the Android O/P upgrade plan for other models is under evaluation and will be announced after confirmation.

Specific upgrade methods: 1, MIUI 6/7/8/9 development version can enter the “Setup → My Device → MIUI Version” online upgrade;
