On August 14, Xiaomi MI MIX, MI Note 2 , MI5 and so other 12 Xiaomi phones in total has upgraded to MIUI 9 OS Developer beta test, today Xiaomi has released MIUI 9 OS ROM in MIUI forum directly, if you want to experience MIUI 9 OS, just apply for flashing it first. And on August 11, Xiaomi MI6, MI5X, Redmi Note 4X Qualcomm three models have also upgraded to MIUI 9, there should be 15 models to support MIUI 9 OS upgrading now.
The ROM of MIUI 9 OS in MIUI forum is the one to flash by USB cable, you need to apply for unlock BL, it doesn’t suport OTA online upgrading now. On August 25, Xiaomi has officially released two upgrading methods, OTA and USB Cable flashing.
Currently, Xiaomi has 15 models to support MIUI 9 developer version, they are Xiaomi MI6, MI5X, Redmi Note 4X Snapdragon version, MI MIX, MI Note 2, MI5, MI5S, MI5S Plus, MI5C, MI MAX 2, MI MAX, MI4S, MI4C, MI Note Top version, Redmi Note 4X.
Meanwhile, there are more Xiaomi phones to support upgrading MIUI 9 OS on the way. On August 16, MIUI forum has already started its inner recruitment about the third batch phones, they are Xiaomi MI2/2S, MI3 TD version, MI3 WCDMA/CDMA version, Xiaomi MI4 TD/WCDMA/CDMA 3G version, Xiaomi MI Note Dual Network/netcom and Xiaomi MI Pad 3.
So we can see Xiaomi is speed up the progress of latest MIUI 9 OS upgrading, from the first round beta test on July 27 to the first batch developer version officially released, from August 7 the second round beta test to August 18 releasing the MIUI 9 ROM in advance on August 18, on August 25 the second batch developer OS officially released. From August 16 the third round beta test launched in advance, in order to make users enjoy latest MIUI 9 OS first. We have to show respect about their efficiency.
