Today MIUI 9 has started to roll its second batch developer version out as promised before. The compatible models include Xiaomi MI MIX, Xiaomi MI Note , Xiaomi MI5, MI5S, MI5S Plus, MI5C, MI4S, MI MAX, MI MAX 2, MI Note top version and Redmi 4X.
In addition, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A will also get MIUI 9 Developer version update. It is the largest scale compatible update since its first batch released on August 11 for Xiaomi MI6, Xiaomi MI5X, and Redmi Note 4X Qualcomm version. Same as previous upgrading version, MIUI 9 developer version also has two ways, OTA online upgrade and USB Cable by manual.
According to MIUI forum announcement, those already being users of MIUI 8 latest developer version can upgrade to MIUI 9 by OTA, if those using MIUI Stable version need to clear the data after backup to use USB cable to flash with MIUI 9 developer ROM.
Meanwhile, MIUI official forum has launched the third batch MIUI 9 developer closed-in test recruitment, users can access to MIUI forum by App, choose MIUI 9 inner test, this test includes Xiaomi MI2/2S, Redmi Note 3, Redmi 3S and other 30 models, almost covering all of Xiaomi phones. According to official introduction, the third batch of MIUI 9 developer inner test will start on August 28, so right now you can sign up.
The MIUI 9 Developer version compatible with the third batch includes 33 models as follow:
