In the case of Nokia’s smartphones, the situation – at least for now – is very clear: the higher the digit in the name, the more powerful the device. So it was easy to guess that since Nokia 3 is the weakest in its current portfolio, Nokia 2 could not be better. And it will be, as confirmed by AnTuTu.

According to AnTuTu, the Nokia 2 will be equipped with a display resolution of HD 1280 × 720 pixels, quad-core (4x ARM Cortex-A7, 28 nm) Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor with Adreno 304 graphics with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory (for sure with the possibility to expand with a microSD card) In the camera front, the smartphone boasts a 8MP primary camera with a 5MP selfie shooter. The whole operation is under control of Android 7.1.1 Nougat. With the high-pass Snapdragon, 212 processor phone is relatively rare, before the famous Lumia650 mobile phone also uses the same chip, despite positioning in the entry-level market.

Recently, one of the American stores has posted on its website Nokia 2 and reported that the smartphone will cost 99 dollars. I do not know if this model will also go to Poland, but personally, I do not expect it. I’m more interested in whether the Nokia 2 will be treated the same as all other Nokia from HMD Global and will also receive an update to Android 8.0 Oreo. There will be two color choices according to the retailer’s listing – black and white.

HMD Global, which owns the rights to manufacture and distribute Nokia-branded smartphones, has so far launched the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6, and Nokia 8 in the Indian market. The company is most likely to introduce Nokia 2 as a worthy contender to face-off other entry-level smartphones. There’s no information as to when the Nokia 2 will see the light of day, but HMD Global has scheduled a global launch event on October 31.
