Igeekphone reported on July 17th that the new Nubia AI companion pet robot, iMoochi, has been officially launched. The price is 1,699 yuan, and the cloud charging base set costs 1,778 yuan.
According to Igeekphone, iMoochi is an emotional companion AI pet robot launched by ZTE at the 2026 World Mobile Communications Conference (MWC26). It focuses on a cute design and life-like interaction, aiming to meet the emotional needs of urban solo residents.
iMoochi offers an interactive experience of a living entity:
Support for tactile sensation and feedback: Through actions such as gentle head touches and continuous stroking, various multi-dimensional feedback such as shaking the head, swaying the tail, and making sounds can be triggered. The furry appearance combined with the cloud-like texture enhances the sense of warmth.
Supports personality development: As the usage time increases, iMoochi will develop its own unique “personality” and “life rhythm”, such as yawning, sensing hunger and temperature, and engaging in active play, etc., which are behaviors similar to those of a living being.
Having an exclusive language system: Customized cute voice tones and “iMoochi language” (such as purring sounds, giggles) avoid the terrifying valley effect caused by harsh human voices, created by professional voice actors.
The iMoochi robot comes in three color options. Its eyes can display different patterns and it is equipped with an OLED screen under the cover that has a light-sensitive system, which can automatically adjust the brightness.
The iMoochi is equipped with 5 touch sensors, 1 six-axis inertial sensor, and has built-in Wi-Fi and 4G connectivity. It can last for 8 to 10 hours on a single charge.
In addition, the accompanying mobile app for iMoochi can record the time spent together, display the current emotional state, and save the moments spent together, etc.
