Chinese manufacturer Nubia, a subsidiary of ZTE, has just introduced an extremely affordable new charger option on the Chinese market. This charger is called Nubia Cube Charger, which offering a square design with several color options for you to choose your favorite or give as a gift to those who bought an iPhone 12, Mi 11, or Galaxy S21 and do not have adapters to use with smartphones.
In terms of design, Nubia Cube Sugar 22.5W Fast Charger uses innovative DUS technology, which enables the charger to satisfy fast charging while keeping the same size as an ordinary 5W charger. In addition, the charger uses an innovative two-color injection molding process and its foldable plug can be bent 90 degrees, which does not take up space and can better protect the phone from wear.
With a reversible USB Type-C interface, the Nubia Cube Charger offers a downward power of 22.5W for fast charging, staying above the most acceptable standard of 18W and allowing most current smartphones to have their batteries recharged in approximately one hour, if not any less.
In the colors Cream White, Strawberry Pink, Matcha Green, and Mint Blue (white, pink, green, and blue, respectively). At the moment, this device is on sale only in China at a price of 59 yuan (about $9). While the Nubia did not disclose the launch date of the charger or whether it will be launched in a variant with an international standard for Europe (which uses a two-pin plug).
The launch of the Nubia Cube Charger comes months after the Nubia also launched GaN chargers with up to 120W of power and three USB ports, two of them Type-C. A GaN Charger Candy version, with 65W and four color options (pink, blue, green, and yellow) was also launched for only 109 yuan ($17).
