A week after the official presentation of the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro – although we already know everything about both models, surprisingly, the first images and features of the OnePlus 8 have emerged, a terminal that will presumably be put up for sale in the middle of next year.
The images have been shared through the CashKaro medium, and thanks to them we can see a first preview of what would be the new phone of the Chinese brand.
In the representations, apparently based on the original CAD design schemes, you can see a design that reminds us, and much of the OnePlus 7 Pro that we analyze in the middle of the year. Apparently, the company would maintain the appearance of the rear with a triple camera arranged vertically, and the front would be mostly occupied by a curved screen.
As a novelty, we see a small hole located in the upper left of the screen, responsible for housing the front camera for selfies. Despite being located in a somewhat different position, the format reminds us of the Samsung Galaxy S10 presented in February.
OnLeaks claims to have found out even the exact dimensions of the smartphone: 160.2 x 72.9 x 8.1mm so that we would be facing a somewhat smaller phone – although not too much – than the OnePlus 7 Pro. Probably due to the decision of the brand of having reduced the screen diagonal from 6.7 to 6.5 inches, although this data corresponds to an approximate measurement.
Other details indicated by the source is that OnePlus would finally have decided to provide its new Qi wireless charging phone, one of the shortcomings that the company’s models have been dragging for some years. Otherwise, the Alert Slider, USB Type-C connector and a stereo audio system with a renewed lower speaker are not missing.
Not much is known about the OnePlus 8, but knowing the company we can expect the next generation of the reference processor of the Qualcomm Snapdragon line, a huge amount of RAM and, perhaps, even more improvements in relation to the photographic section that allow OnePlus to finally compete with the main exponents of the market.
