OnePlus Band Official With a SpO2 Sensor and 14 Days of Autonomy

Starting today, OnePlus has officially entered the wearable market thanks to the launch of its first wearable. In fact, the OnePlus Band was presented in India, the new fitness tracker that without too many words aims to be a direct competitor of the Xiaomi Mi Band 5, thanks to a 1.1-inch AMOLED screen, a heart rate sensor, a SpO2 sensor, and a battery with which OnePlus claims to be capable of offering up to 14 days of battery life.

As we said, the OnePlus Band is the first OnePlus wearable, which consists of an upper tablet, where we find the screen and sensors, and an interchangeable silicone bracelet. The pickup is always black, but the strap can be black, blue, or gray/orange. It should be noted that it has IP68 resistance and that it can be submerged up to 50 meters.

At the top, we have the screen, a 1.1-inch color AMOLED touch panel. It has a resolution of 126 x 294 pixels and adjustable brightness. In addition, it can be customized with different covers. At the bottom, we have the heart rate sensor, the SpO2 sensor, and the charging pins. Altogether, the device weighs 22.6 grams.

As for the functions of a quantifying bracelet, the OnePlus Band is capable of measuring the level of oxygen in the blood (manually and automatically during sleep), the heart rate, and the sleep sessions. The metrics are accessible from the OnePlus Health app, which is only available on Android. It has 13 sports modes, music control, a remote trigger for the mobile camera, and allows you to receive calls and notifications.

Finally, it should be noted that OnePlus claims that its battery is capable of offering up to 14 days of autonomy. Now, it is important to keep in mind that this will depend on the use that each user makes of the wearable. As we can see, it is a relatively basic bracelet and lacks, for example, an integrated GPS chip.

The OnePlus Band launched in India, where it will go on sale from January 13 for 2799 INR (about $38). Its available colors are black, blue, and gray/orange. At the moment nothing is known about its arrival in other countries, but we will be waiting so that, in the event that it does, update prices and availability.
