OnePlus is making some changes to the naming scheme of its mid-range Nord series. The company is reportedly planning to replace the OnePlus Nord 2 with the OnePlus Nord 2T. According to source Yogesh Brar, the new “T” branded phone will be announced in India between April and May.
The source also revealed some important information about the smartphone. According to Brar, the price of the smartphone will be between 30,000 Indian rupees (about 2,547 yuan) – 40,000 Indian rupees (about 3,396 yuan). 4 Therefore, the price of this smartphone is similar to that of its predecessor, the OnePlus Nord 2.
It is reported that the OnePlus Nord 2T is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chip, coupled with up to 12GB of memory and 256GB of onboard storage. The smartphone features a 6.43-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. The smartphone will run OxygenOS 12 based on Android 12 out of the box.
Speaking of cameras, the OnePlus Nord 2T will feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. For selfies and video calls, it has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
The OnePlus Nord 2T will feature a 4,500mAh battery that supports 80W SuperVOOC charging, the same charging technology used by the OnePlus 10 Pro.
Meanwhile, OnePlus will release another Nord phone, but it will be available in India before the Nord 2T. If the rumors are true, the company will release the OnePlus Nord CE 2 in February, which will succeed the Nord CE. According to source Yogesh Brar, the price of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 will be between 25,000 Indian rupees (about 2122.5 yuan) and 30,000 Indian rupees (about 2,547 yuan) when it goes on sale.
