We return to OnePlus Nord, the first non-top of the range smartphone from the company since OnePlus X in 2015. Once again we have to thank Evan Blass, who released the images of the 6 official houses and the screenshot of a slide that illustrates all the detailed technical specifications. It is worth mentioning that Blass yesterday released two renders of the device. Let’s start with the cases, on which there are some interesting things to say.
These three houses were created in collaboration with the Swedish graphic designer Finsta, the American painter Camilla Engstrom and the YouTuber serial smartphone torturer Zack Nelson AKA JerryRigEverything. Nelson’s design shows the internal components of the smartphone as if the body was transparent – an operation that YouTuber had already experimented with the dbrand film producer.
And now we can dedicate ourselves to the slide with the technical specifications. First of all, it is good to specify that the smartphone depicted in the image is clearly different from the renderings seen so far, but it is only a schematic sketch not to be taken into consideration much.
Another important detail to be clarified is the mention, at the top left, of Avicii, famous DJ and Swedish producer who passed away in 2018 at just 28 years old. Apparently “Avicii” is the code name chosen by OnePlus for the development of the smartphone – evidently as a tribute to the artist. Recall that OnePlus Nord will be presented on July 21 during an augmented reality event.
