Online Roulette: How to Win Often at Casino Roulette?

Brady CottonBy Brady CottonAugust 2, 2022

Land-based casinos and online casinos have a lot in common. Although they do not work the same way, they share the great classics of casino games. These include table games, such as poker, blackjack, baccarat, and, of course, roulette.

Online roulette is one of the most popular online casino games. This game of chance where strategy still has a place has, in fact, something to appeal to players. Excitement, winnings, and a cozy atmosphere make this game,  30 free spins ohne einzahlung a success.

    What is Online Roulette?

Online roulette is the variation offered by virtual casinos of the roulette game offered by land-based casinos. Online roulette is therefore based on the same principles as traditional roulette. It is a table game consisting of a wheel or roulette whose outer dial is divided into 38 slots alternating the colors red and black.

The squares are numbered from 1 to 36, with two green squares bearing the numbers 0 and 00.

Once the roulette wheel has been launched by the croupier, it spins around an axis with a free ball which, when the wheel stops spinning, falls randomly on a slot.

To bet, players use what is called a “table”. The table is made up of an outer zone whose squares allow you to bet on the colors, the evens, and the odds.

The inner area of the table allows you to bet on the numbers. Online roulette is played with a single player or with several players on the same virtual table. There are many versions of it, including video roulette which is played with a real dealer, and a real roulette table which is filmed live.

The Creation and Origins of Online Roulette

The origins of roulette remain obscure and there are several hypotheses about it. Some attribute the origins of roulette to the Chinese. This game would have existed a long time ago in China in the form of an old board game that consisted of gathering 37 figurines representing animals in a magic square to total the sum of 666.

Another hypothesis is that this game dates back to the ancient Romans. Legionnaires were allowed to play games of chance, some of which involved spinning a shield or a chariot wheel.

In ancient Greece, there was also a game reminiscent of roulette. The Greeks inscribed symbols on a shield that was thrown to spin like a roulette wheel. Anyway, it is certain that modern French roulette was invented in the 17th century by the French mathematician Blaise Pascal.

The latter was however inspired by two very popular games at the time and curiously close in their principles to modern roulette. These are the Roly Poly and the Event-Odd in which you had to spin a wheel to bet on the result.

Blaise Pascal’s roulette remained confidential for a long time, until the end of the 18th century when gambling began to gain popularity thanks to a relaxation of regulations.

The version of roulette that was played then is very similar to what we call American roulette today, with 0, a 00, and 36 numbered spaces alternating between red and black.

Two Frenchmen, François, and Louis Blanc, later invented European roulette in 1842 by removing the slot bearing the 00.

The Different Variations of Online Roulette

Roulette is a mythical casino game that has conquered all land-based and online casinos in the world. There are currently various versions of this game and the three main ones are European Roulette, American Roulette, and French Roulette.

    European Online Roulette

European roulette is the most popular version in the world. It has slots numbered from 1 to 36 colored alternately in red and black and divided into even and odd numbers. It is also possible to bet on columns and tiers.

It differs from the other versions mainly by the absence of a double zero slot (00). European roulette has, in fact, only one zero slot, which reduces the house advantage from 5.26% to 2.7%. Players are therefore favored in this version of roulette.

    French Online Roulette

This is a much rarer variant of roulette than the other two. It is characterized, like European roulette, by the absence of a double zero slot.

French roulette differs from European roulette by its specific rules, in particular with regard to sharing when the ball stops on 0 and the player has not bet it. In this case, the bet is only half lost.

French roulette also includes a notion of “prison”. This rule means that if the ball falls on zero while the player has bet on a simple chance, the latter can recover his bet if it is a winner in the next round.

    American Online Roulette

American roulette has a 0 and a 00 slot, which increases the advantage of the casino against the players. You can bet on numbers, colors, evens and odds, columns, or thirds.

Play Online Roulette Free or Real Money

Online roulette is offered by many online casinos. It comes in two versions, one that you can play for free and the other that requires wagering your real money.

    Play With Your Real Money

Online roulette versions that you play with your real money are more interesting because they offer more thrills and excitement. They also allow you to have serious chances of winning money and taking advantage of the bonuses offered by online casinos.

Play Online Roulette in Free Mode

Even if it does not offer the possibility of winning money or taking advantage of bonuses, the free mode of online roulette remains interesting, especially for beginners. Free online roulette is an effective and safe way to discover this game, and its mechanisms, and to practice strategies without risking your own money.

The Rules of Online Roulette: How to Bet?

Online roulette offers the possibility of betting on simple bets, such as a number, a color, an even or odd number, or combinations.

    Simple bets

Also called outside bets, they consist of betting on a number, we then speak of “full”, on two successive numbers, “straddling” or on a row of three or six neighboring numbers.

These bets are made by placing your chip in the way corresponding each time to your combination. Each bet has different odds which can vary, for French roulette between 2.7 and 48.6.

The payout, if won, also varies for each type of bet. A straight bet has a payout of 35:1 for example, while a spin bet has a payout of 2:1.

    Combinations of Online Roulette Winning

In this case, we speak of outside bets, because they are made on the outside of the table. These bets can be made on a vertical column, on a dozen consecutive numbers, on the high numbers, that is to say from 19 to 36, or on the low numbers from 1 to 18.

    Online Roulette Tricks to Win

Online roulette is a game whose outcome is purely random, but certain game tips and strategies can increase your chances of winning or at least limit your losses at this 30 free spins ohne einzahlung.

    The Martingale

This strategy involves betting double the previous bet each time you lose. By persisting until you win, you are guaranteed to recoup your lost bets and even win.

    The Red and Black Method

This is the method that offers the best chance of winning since by betting on red or black you have a one in two chance of winning. With its high odds, however, this strategy has a low payout ratio of 1 to 1.

    The Dozens Roulette Trick

This technique consists of betting on a dozen numbers. There are three: from 1 to 12, from 13 to 24, and from 25 to 36. By betting on a dozen, you have a one in three chance of winning, by betting on two dozen, you have a two in three chance, which is not negligible. This bet has odds of 32.4% on European roulette and French roulette and a payout ratio of 2 to 1.

What Are the Parts of an Online Roulette Wheel?

Roulette is made up of four elements that are used to play: the table, the roulette wheel, the ball, and the chips.

    Table

This is the part of roulette where players bet. It is composed of a circle divided into three rows each comprising 12 squares.

    Roulette

Also called a wheel, it is divided into 36 spaces numbered from 1 to 36 and a 0 space or a 0 space and another 00 for American roulette. The slots from 1 to 36 alternate the colors red and black, while the slots 0 and 00 are green.

    The marble

It is placed on the wheel and it is she who designates the number drawn when the wheel stops turning.

    Tokens

As in many other games, real money is represented in roulette by chips.

Is There Software to Cheat at Roulette?

The online roulette games offered by virtual casinos are reliable and fair. Their results are drawn using random number generators that cannot be faked. So there is no software to cheat at online roulette.
