OPPO has just launched two new smartphones in the Reno 4 series in China, including Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro. Both phones are in the mid-range segment, with powerful camera systems and are optimized for movie recording. In addition, they are also very thin, light, and extremely beautiful designs.

OPPO Reno 4 Pro is equipped with a curved AMOLED display, while the standard variant uses a simpler flat AMOLED display. Both devices have three cameras on the back, but the Pro variant comes with a more advanced camera cluster.

According to the manufacturer, the Reno4 weighs 183 grams and is 7.8mm thick. Meanwhile, Reno 4 Pro is thinner and has a thickness of 7.6mm, weighs only 172 grams. Therefore, it can be seen that Reno 4 Pro is one of the lightest 5G smartphones on the market today.

    Technical data

Oppo Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro use Snapdragon 765G processor and Adreno 620 GPU, as well as support 5G network connection. Both have built-in liquid cooling systems to make sure they don’t overheat when running heavy tasks.

While Reno 4 only has an 8GB RAM option and 128GB / 256GB internal memory, Reno 4 Pro adds a more advanced configuration variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM.

Regarding the screen, Reno 4 uses a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD + resolution, while Reno 4 Pro has a better 6.5-inch AMOLED screen and has a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, 100% color gamut, DCI-P3, HDR10 +, and have low blue light certification.

Both phones come with a 4000mAh battery and support SuperVOOC 65W fast charging. According to the manufacturer, it can charge from 0% to 60% in just 15 minutes, as well as fully charge to 100% in 36 minutes. The Smartphone pre-installed operating system Android 10 with interface ColorOS 7.2 when sold.

    OPPO Reno 4 is equipped with a 48MP IMX586 f / 1.7 main camera, combined with an 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor with a 119-degree viewing angle and a 2MP black-and-white sensor.

For Reno 4 Pro, the device also uses a 48MP IMX586 main sensor but has OIS. The second sensor is a 12MP IMX708 ultra-wide-angle camera with a 120-degree viewing angle. Finally, the rear camera assembly of the device also includes a 13MP f / 2.4 telephoto sensor with a 5x optical zoom and 20x digital zoom.

Both models have laser focus sensors, which incorporate OPPO’s hyper-darkening algorithm. This algorithm will allow users to create clear and colorful night shots. Besides, they also support video stabilization technology for both front and rear cameras.

Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro support 4K 30fps video recording and slo-mo video up to 720p 240fps with the rear camera. On the front, we will have a 32MP + 2MP selfie camera on Reno4, a single 32MP selfie camera on the Reno4 Pro variant.

    Price and Release time

At the moment, both Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro have been pre-ordered in China, expected to hit shelves on June 12. Reno 4 starts at 2999 yuan (about $423) for the 8GB + 128GB version, as well as 3299 yuan ($466) for the 8GB + 256GB version.

For Reno 4 Pro, the device starts at 3799 yuan (about $536) for the 8GB + 128GB version. Meanwhile, the more advanced version with 12GB of RAM + 256GB of memory has a retail price of 4299 yuan (about $607).
