Igeekphone News, May 13th: Pimax has released the VR headset Dream Air SE. The new model is cheaper than the Dream Air launched at the end of last year. The new head-mounted display features a comfortable wearing design, weighs less than 200g, and is equipped with a fully automatic adaptive head-mounted system. The pre-order payment for the new model starts from 4,845 yuan and is expected to be delivered in the third quarter of this year.
The PIMAX Dream Air SE is equipped with a Micro-OLED display screen, with a single-eye resolution of 2560×2560. It adopts Pancake lenses and integrates eye tracking function, supporting automatic interpupillar distance adjustment and dynamic fixation point rendering.
It should be noted that this device needs to be connected to a PC through the DisplayPort interface for use, which is different from the Meta Quest series VR all-in-one devices with built-in SoC.
PIMAX Dream Air SE offers two versions:
The base station panel version without a controller is compatible with Lighthouse base stations, with a pre-order price of 4,845 yuan.
The SLAM + controller version supports inside-out positioning, with a pre-order price of 5,654 yuan.
