On May 27th, two top-2Firsts noticed on the official website of Japan Tobacco (JT) that it officially launched the brand-new generation of heating tobacco equipment Ploom AURA and the dedicated tobacco stick EVO in the Japanese market. Among them, Ploom AURA adopts the “SMART HEATFLOW” heating technology and supports four heating modes. The selling price is approximately 20.94 US dollars (including tax). EVO tobacco sticks are positioned as a high-end professional brand, offering three initial flavors at a price of approximately $3.87 (including tax).
In terms of parameter performance, the product specification of Ploom AURA is more slender compared to PLOOM X (43.5 x 88.5 x 24 mm). The maximum number of times the product can be used after being fully charged has increased from 20 times to 27 times, and up to 3 can be used continuously.
Furthermore, Ploom AURA will be used in conjunction with EVO tobacco sticks. EVO tobacco sticks is the first high-end dedicated brand launched by JT, featuring three initial flavors: Deep Regular, Cold Menthol, and Berry Crystal. The price of the EVO tobacco stick is 550 yen (3.87 US dollars, including tax).
Previously, the tobacco Sticks that PLOOM X was paired with were Camel Sticks.
Four heating modes are controlled via Bluetooth connection
One of the main innovations of Ploom AURA lies in its adoption of the latest “SMART HEATFLOW” heating technology. The official website introduces that SMART HEATFLOW can maintain the maximum heating temperature for a relatively long time, with a heating temperature of 320 degrees Celsius, and supports four heating modes: standard, powerful, long-lasting and energy-saving. Among them, the long-lasting mode can support 6 minutes of use, and 27 tobacco sticks can be used when fully charged. The energy-saving mode supports 3 minutes of use. When fully charged, 27 tobacco sticks can be used.
Ploom AURA is not equipped with any buttons or screens in appearance. Users only need to slide open the lid and insert the cigarette stick to use it. The switching of the heating mode can be controlled via Bluetooth connection.

Currently, Ploom AURA is available for purchase on the CLUB JT online store and in Ploom specialty stores across Japan. The price of the Ploom AURA starter set is 2,980 yen ($20.94, including tax), and the price of the EVO tobacco bar is 550 yen ($3.87, including tax). Starting from July 1st, the product will be sold in convenience stores across the country and some tobacco retail channels.
