Igeekphone News: July 14, 2026 – Philip Morris International (PMI) has introduced VEEV inPrime, the latest addition to its closed-system vaping portfolio, marking a significant technological evolution for the VEEV brand. The new device replaces the previous VEEV One platform with an entirely redesigned ecosystem built around PMI’s AdvanceVape Induction System™, bringing induction heating technology to the company’s e-cigarette lineup for the first time.
According to information published by PMI and regional IQOS websites, VEEV inPrime began a phased rollout across Europe between May and June 2026 and is now available in markets including Greece, Estonia, the United Kingdom, and Italy.

A Shift to an Induction Vaporization Platform
The most notable advancement in VEEV inPrime is its transition from ceramic heating technology to an induction-based vaporization system.
PMI says the new AdvanceVape Induction System™ uses electromagnetic induction to heat the vaping element more precisely, with the aim of reducing the likelihood of burnt-taste sensations while delivering more consistent flavor throughout the cartridge’s lifespan.
Unlike the previous Compact Ceramic technology used in the VEEV One series, VEEV inPrime is built on an entirely new hardware platform. The induction system is accompanied by newly designed cartridges and reformulated e-liquids, creating a dedicated ecosystem optimized specifically for the new device.
Rather than serving as an incremental hardware refresh, VEEV inPrime represents a comprehensive redesign of PMI’s closed-system vaping platform.

Enhanced User Experience Beyond the Heating Technology
In addition to its new vaporization system, VEEV inPrime introduces several user-focused features designed to improve everyday usability.
According to PMI, the device supports Responsive Draw™, which is intended to provide quicker and more natural vapor activation during inhalation. It also incorporates Sensorial Feedback, a haptic notification system that uses gentle vibrations to communicate device status, including charging progress and cartridge replacement reminders.
Other features include:
- Low e-liquid detection to help users monitor cartridge levels
- A semi-transparent mouthpiece for easier visual inspection of remaining e-liquid
- Fast charging that can fully recharge the device in approximately 40 minutes
- A chassis manufactured using approximately 75% recycled aluminum
PMI also states that each VEEV inPrime pod can deliver up to approximately 1,400 puffs, although actual performance may vary depending on regional product specifications and individual usage patterns.
Importantly, the new device is compatible only with VEEV inPrime cartridges, meaning existing VEEV One pods cannot be used with the new platform.

Phased European Launch
PMI is introducing VEEV inPrime through a staged rollout across Europe.
Public information from IQOS regional websites indicates that:
- Estonia began introducing the product in May 2026
- Greece officially announced the device on June 8
- The United Kingdom subsequently made VEEV inPrime available through the IQOS online store and selected specialist vape retailers
- Italy simultaneously launched official support pages and product guides for the new device
The phased launch strategy suggests PMI is gradually expanding market availability while supporting regional distribution and consumer education.
Extending PMI’s Induction Technology Strategy
The arrival of VEEV inPrime also reflects PMI’s broader strategy of expanding induction heating technology across its portfolio of smoke-free products.
The company previously introduced induction heating through the Smartcore Induction System™ used in its IQOS ILUMA heated tobacco devices. With VEEV inPrime, PMI is now applying similar technological principles to its closed-system vaping products through the new AdvanceVape Induction System™.
This expansion indicates that induction technology is becoming a central component of PMI’s long-term product development strategy, extending beyond heated tobacco devices into additional smoke-free categories.
Building a New Product Ecosystem
One of the defining aspects of VEEV inPrime is that PMI has redesigned multiple elements simultaneously rather than focusing solely on the hardware.
The launch encompasses:
- A new induction-based vaporization platform
- Newly engineered cartridges
- Reformulated e-liquid compositions
- Updated device interaction features
- A dedicated accessory ecosystem
This integrated approach suggests a shift away from incremental hardware improvements toward platform-based product development, where hardware, consumables, and software-like user experiences are designed to work together as a unified system.
Industry Perspective
The introduction of VEEV inPrime highlights an emerging trend within the global vaping industry: innovation is increasingly centered on core technology platforms rather than simply increasing battery capacity or puff counts.
As the market matures and competition intensifies, manufacturers are placing greater emphasis on advancements in heating technology, flavor consistency, device intelligence, and user interaction. These platform-level innovations may become increasingly important differentiators for international brands seeking long-term competitiveness.
For PMI, VEEV inPrime represents more than the launch of a new vaping device. It demonstrates the company’s continued investment in expanding its smoke-free product portfolio through proprietary technologies designed to enhance performance, consistency, and overall user experience.
