Igeekphone News, October 24th: According to the technology media Android Headline’s report today, Qualcomm has now released the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 mobile phone chip, which is positioned as an entry-level product. It is manufactured using a 4nm process technology and supports features such as 144Hz high refresh rate and Wi-Fi 6E.
It is reported that the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 is the first 6s series chip to adopt a 4nm process. Compared with the old 6nm process, it has improved energy consumption and performance. The CPU adopts an octa-core Kryo architecture, including 4 performance cores (up to 2.4GHz) and 4 efficiency cores (up to 1.8GHz). The CPU performance has increased by up to 36% compared to the previous generation.

In terms of gaming, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 this time is equipped with a newly upgraded GPU architecture, with a performance improvement of 59% compared to the previous generation. IT supports a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz at FHD + resolution and VRS (Note: IT Home Flagship technologies such as Variable Rate Shading and Game Quick Touch can enhance graphic rendering efficiency and reduce input latency.
In terms of imaging capabilities, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 supports a maximum 200-megapixel sensor and can record up to 2K videos. It features MFNR (Multi-frame Noise Reduction) technology, which can significantly enhance the details and clarity of photos in low-light environments. It integrates support for the 5G Release 16 baseband. Equipped with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4, it makes the speed and latency of wireless connection more ideal.

In addition, this chip is also compatible with LPDDR5 memory, with a maximum frequency of up to 3200MHz, optimizing power consumption and data throughput. However, Qualcomm has not yet announced the release schedule of its devices. But it is expected that brands such as Xiaomi, OPPO, and Lenovo moto will all launch new models based on this platform.
