Igeekphone April 15th: Qualcomm plans to officially release the highly anticipated Snapdragon 8E6 series in September this year. This series consists of two core chips, namely the standard Snapdragon 8E6 and the more powerful Snapdragon 8E6 Pro, indicating that the mobile processor market will enter a new performance cycle.
According to the latest leaked information, the Snapdragon 8E6 is built on the most advanced 2nm process technology from TSMC. This is the first 2nm flagship chip from Qualcomm, marking the arrival of a new 2nm era for various brands.
It adopts Qualcomm’s independently developed Oryon CPU and introduces a brand-new 2+3+3 architecture design, aiming to significantly enhance the core operational efficiency.
In terms of storage and cache configuration, this chip shares 16MB of L2 cache and has a SLC cache of 6MB. In terms of graphics processing, it integrates the Adreno 845 GPU and has 12MB of graphics memory. Additionally, it can support the highest LPDDR5X memory and the new UFS5.0 flash memory protocol.
Compared to the Pro version, the Snapdragon 8E6 standard edition maintains full alignment in terms of manufacturing process and core architecture. This ensures that it still possesses extremely powerful basic performance. The main difference lies in that the GPU specifications of the standard edition are not fully maximized, and it focuses more on the balance between power consumption and performance.

The more advanced Snapdragon 8E6 Pro model showcases even more aggressive specifications. It is equipped with the Adreno 850 GPU and is the first to offer support for LPDDR6 memory. This enables the Pro version chip to have greater potential for performance when handling large-scale computations and demanding games.
This generation of performance superstars will be the global debut of the Xiaomi 18 series. To meet diverse market demands, Xiaomi has adopted a refined multi-chip layout strategy, conducting targeted performance optimization for different models.
Among them, the top-tier version of Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will be the first to feature the Snapdragon 8E6 Pro chip, aiming to establish an unparalleled performance benchmark. While the standard version of Xiaomi 18 and the Xiaomi 18 Pro are likely to adopt the Snapdragon 8E6, ensuring an outstanding battery life performance while maintaining a flagship-level experience.
