Last month, 2 Realme smartphone models appeared on the TENAA database. Recently leaked information shows that these two devices will be released as Realme X and Realme X Youth Edition. In it, Realme X Youth Edition is the renamed version of Realme 3 Pro released in India last month.
And now, brand Realme, owned by the Chinese company OPPO, has announced a teaser image, speaking about the imminent release of the Realme X: the novelty debuts on May 15th. Although Realme does not reveal it, it is likely that Realme X and Realme X Youth Edition will be released at the upcoming event.
While Realme’s status line on Weibo only mentions Realme X, retailer Jingdong Mall quickly listed Realme X and Realme X Youth Edition soon. Besides JD, Realme X and Realme X Youth Edition will also be sold on other online platforms in China such as Tmall and Suning.
It is expected that Realme X will have a 6.5-inch OLED overflow display with full HD + resolution and a fingerprint sensor on the screen. There are reports that Realme X uses Snapdragon 730 chip, but there are other sources speculating that it is equipped with a Snapdragon 855 chip.
Realme X has a 3680mAh battery, powered by fast charging technology VOOC 3.0. The rear has a 48MP + 5MP dual camera while the front is a slider-type camera with unknown resolution. Realme X can be on shelves in China with 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB and 1599 yuan (about $237) 1799 yuan (equal to $266) and 1999 yuan ($296) respectively.
Meanwhile, Realme X Youth Edtion has a 6.3 inch LCD with teardrop-style design, full HD + resolution. The device uses Snapdragon chip 710, up to 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM. Other parameters include 16MP + 5MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and 4045mAh battery. According to rumors, Realme is also nurturing a flagship called Realme X Pro. However, it is unclear when this smartphone launches.
