Redmi has introduced the A27U Type-C 120Hz 2027, a new 27-inch monitor aimed at users who want a single display for work, content creation, entertainment, and gaming. Redmi monitor is now listed on Xiaomi’s online store in China for 1,999 yuan ($276) and is scheduled to officially go on sale at 4:00 PM on September 11.
The new model combines a 4K IPS panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, a low-reflection coating, wide color coverage, full-function USB-C connectivity, and a dedicated mode designed to better match the color characteristics of Apple devices.
4K 120Hz IPS Display
The Redmi A27U Type-C 120Hz 2027 features a 27-inch IPS panel with a 3840 × 2160 resolution. Unlike conventional 4K monitors that are limited to 60Hz, this model supports a native 4K 120Hz refresh rate, providing smoother motion for gaming and everyday desktop use.

For competitive gaming, the monitor also includes a dedicated performance mode that can switch the resolution to 1080p at up to 240Hz. This gives users the option to prioritize image detail or refresh rate depending on the application.
The panel has a 1500:1 contrast ratio and a 178-degree viewing angle, making it suitable for both single-user desk setups and situations where several people need to view the screen.
Low-Reflection Screen and Wide Color Coverage
One of the more notable upgrades is the monitor’s low-reflection surface. Redmi uses an AG25LR1.8 coating that reduces screen reflectivity to as low as 2.6%.
Lower reflectivity can help minimize distracting reflections from windows, lamps, and other light sources. This should be particularly useful for people who spend long hours working near bright ambient lighting.
Color reproduction is another major focus. The A27U Type-C 120Hz 2027 covers 100% of the sRGB color space and 98% of DCI-P3, while supporting up to 1.07 billion colors. Maximum brightness reaches 400 nits.

Each monitor is also factory-calibrated individually, with a claimed Delta E (ΔE) below 1. That level of factory calibration makes the display more suitable for tasks where color consistency matters, including graphic design, photo editing, office work, and content production.
One-Tap Apple Color Mode
Redmi has added a new M Mode specifically for users within the Apple ecosystem. With a single setting, the monitor can switch to a color profile designed to more closely match Apple’s display characteristics.
In this mode, the monitor supports up to 98% Display P3 color coverage.
Redmi is also promoting cross-device color consistency within its own ecosystem. When the same content is viewed on compatible Xiaomi or Redmi smartphones, laptops, tablets, and monitors, the company says the devices can deliver a more consistent overall color experience.
This feature could be particularly useful for users who frequently move photos, videos, or other visual content between multiple devices.
Hardware-Level Eye Protection
The Redmi A27U Type-C 120Hz 2027 also includes several features aimed at reducing eye strain during extended use.
It supports hardware-level low-blue-light technology, which is designed to reduce harmful blue-light output without giving the entire screen an overly yellow appearance.

The monitor also uses DC dimming across the full brightness range. Instead of relying on rapid brightness modulation, DC dimming adjusts the power supplied to the display to control brightness, helping reduce visible flicker.
For users who spend many hours in front of a monitor, these features can make a meaningful difference in everyday comfort.
USB-C With Up to 90W Power Delivery
Connectivity is another key feature of the new Redmi monitor.
Its full-function USB-C monitor allows compatible laptops, smartphones, and tablets to connect using a single cable. The connection can handle video transmission, data transfer, and up to 90W reverse charging.
That means a compatible laptop can potentially receive its display signal while charging through the same USB-C cable, helping reduce cable clutter on the desk. The monitor can also serve as a hub for connecting additional peripherals.
Other connectivity options include:
- 3.5mm headphone jack
- 2 × HDMI 2.1
- 1 × DisplayPort 1.4
- 2 × USB 2.0
The combination of USB-C, HDMI 2.1, and DisplayPort makes the monitor flexible enough for computers, gaming systems, tablets, and other modern devices.
Adjustable Stand and Slim-Bezel Design
The Redmi A27U Type-C 120Hz 2027 uses a three-sided narrow-bezel design, giving the display a cleaner appearance and making it better suited to multi-monitor setups.
The included stand is highly adjustable. Users can change the monitor’s height, rotate it between landscape and portrait orientations, swivel it from side to side, and adjust its forward and backward tilt.
The monitor also supports wall mounting, giving users additional options for optimizing their workspace.
Redmi A27U Type-C 120Hz 2027 Price and Availability
The new Redmi A27U Type-C 120Hz 2027 is priced at 1,999 yuan in China. Xiaomi has listed the monitor on its online store, with official sales scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM on September 11.
With a 4K 120Hz IPS panel, 240Hz 1080p gaming mode, wide-gamut color support, ΔE<1 factory calibration, Apple-oriented M Mode, USB-C connectivity with up to 90W charging, and an adjustable stand, the monitor is designed to cover a wide range of use cases without focusing exclusively on gaming.
At 1,999 yuan, the A27U Type-C 120Hz 2027 positions itself as a versatile 27-inch display for users who want high-resolution visuals, fast refresh rates, accurate color, and convenient USB-C connectivity in a single monitor.
