Igeekphone News, May 22: Blogger Smart Pikachu revealed that the REDMI K100 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5. It’s even possible that both models will use this chip, maintaining the price range of 3,000 – 4,000 yuan.
After all, in the context of the industry as a whole, the price increase of this new model is inevitable. As a mass-market flagship series, the K series naturally had to make some trade-offs. However, it has been reported that the price increase will be lower than that of its competitors in the same category.
The REDMI K100 series will continue to feature the super-pixel screen of the previous generation. This will also become a standard feature for Xiaomi’s flagship devices in the future. It achieves 2K-level clarity through true RGB arrangement, but its power consumption is even lower than that of the traditional 1.5K screen.

As for the size, the standard version of K100 still maintains a medium-sized positioning, featuring a 6.6-inch screen, while the Pro Max still has a 6.9-inch large screen.
With the price increase, other configurations of the K100 series are also expected to be upgraded. Currently, the entire series is testing a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and the Pro Max version even tested a 200-megapixel main camera. This will create the strongest imaging system in the K series’ history.
Currently, the engineering model is equipped with an 8500mAh battery. However, efforts are still being made to increase the battery capacity. In terms of charging, it not only supports 100W wired fast charging but also adds 50W wireless fast charging, keeping up with high-end flagship models.
