There were some rumors from before that LeEco is planning to release a new mobile in September around IFA Berlin. Since all these news are rumors as we said, a new rumor came out that this mobile could be an upgraded Le 2S, announced on September 9. Also don’t forget that it was last year in October that LeEco unveiled the Le 1S, so it is quite possible one year after to see Le 2S.
Except from the rumor, and some pictures of renders have made it to the internet, saying that this is gonna look like the new Le 2S. In these renders we can see the front as well as the back. The source of the first image is from Weibo which shows us a mobile with very thin bezels. From what it looks, LeEco will continue the Borderless ID design on the new device.
The second image comes from XDA and shows a loop antenna design, similar to Meizu Pro 6 and Vernee Mars. It seems that more and more companies are making mobiles with this design. Don’t forget that and iPhone 7 is said to have the similar design. The body, is said to be made out of metal and we can see that there will be a gold color variant.
As for with what the mobile will have, rumors say that will be equipped with Snapdragon 821, 8GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The question that comes up is since Le 2S is part of the affordable mid-range lineup, it remains to be seen whether we will see such high-end specs on the upcoming LeEco device.
